FFVIX needs to see some FFIX and FFVII crossover events

Agreed.

FFIX is my second favourite Final Fantasy game overall, so I'd definitely appreciate seeing more references to it within FFXIV. I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll get some in Endwalker simply due to how similar Fandaniel is to Kuja in some respects to say nothing of the fact that the situation between Terra and Gaia is very similar to the concept behind a Rejoining.

As for FFVII, I'm expecting to see a fair few more references to it within Garlemald.

That would be tragic. Sephiroth is overrated, yes (he just doesn't have that many lines - in fact, most of 'his' actions in the original FFVII are just Jenova posing as him. Sephiroth spends 90 percent of the game as a dead popsicle in the Northern Crater), but he's far, FAR more compelling a character than forcy-mcforcefaced-Zenos. Zenos is like... Ultimecia caliber bad. Like as poor an antagonist as this series has ever dreamed up.

And I don't understand why they mad him so horribad. His demeanor is just way too odd to be taken as a seriously powerful villain. Maybe they correct this in Endwalker, but how does someone as lethargic as him get any serious plan in motion?

One of the new dungeons screenshots they showed in the fanfest looked aesthetically extremely similar to a certain dungeon from FFIX.
