See below but looking around the especially after their tone deaf statement, WoW forums, WoW reddit and multiple other sites there is very serious right now the calls to boycott any Blizzard/Activision game until there is real change is loud.

Given the release soon and hype of New World and Final Fantasy 14 in the news everywhere I think a lot of new players will be looking for a new home soon. Square Enix better get ready.

Once this breaks on Twitch and Youtube tomorrow as people wake up I expect to see a lot of departures. I could be wrong but there is very serious rage here.

Its not just a wow problem, its Activision as a whole. If they want to do damage Boycott CoD too.

Yeah, I've been lurking on the World of Warcraft forums, and as of the time I am posting this, more than half of the posts on the front page of their General Discussion are either about the allegations, or about how they hate the devs, the direction of the game, the story, etc., and why it's making them leave.

This is probably strike three for a lot of people, after the Hong Kong controversy and what happened with WCIII Reforged. I won't be surprised if this is the start of the WoW death spiral, if it hasn't already begun.

It's really depressing to watch.

Apparently it was already in Blizzard before their acquisition, which puts the "Old guard" that have been making new indie studios under the spotlight too.

I am not sure how J Allen Brack survives this as I am seeing national media pick this up and that is going to be on the front page of CNBC and is already being reported by Bloomberg. Bobby is going to want a sacrificial lamb but reading that statement makes me wonder if they will do anything.

I suppose this explains why the company in question was all too eager to show how supposedly virtuous it was, then.

Some of the statements made by certain employees on Twitter have also been rather suspect and questionable, if not outright inappropriate.

We'll see what comes of it, though - it may very well just result in the equivalent of a slap on the wrist in the form of legal fees that are then repaid through adding a special mount to the cash shop.

Some of those claims read like some dark over the top comedy. . . .I hope it's untrue simply because if it is that is just. . . Sad. . Horrible...

My childhood company, it hurts what they're doing sometimes. Obviously this is pretty major- I'm not attempting to compare each incident or make equivalences, just speaking in general it's been a relatively unenjoyable experience watching a company that I adored.. do non-adorable things.
