Please release 6.0 savage 1 week earlier than previous expansions

You aren't competitive if you aren't clearing within the first two weeks. At least within the context of hardcore prog. The entire purpose is clearly the tier fast. If you're only clearing 5-10-15 weeks following the tier drop. You aren't in the same competitive scene. Therefore, the release date will naturally impact you far less.

Not sure if you're trying to correct me but...I agree with you! I'm not in a competitive team and that's the reality for most raiders. Whereas OP tried to make it seem the savage release falling close to Xmas would negatively impact even those who don't raid competitively when the truth is in the below quote.

This is how it is for most statics. They take breaks when a major holiday like Xmas comes up.

Again I'm not fond of the idea of the world race being negatively impacted by the release date so I agree with delaying it for longer than usual but for me that's more a matter of ethics than how it personally affects me as a player. It won't personally affect me at all, and that's how it is for most raiders.

I would prefer them to release savage raid after new years. So people don't have to deal with trying to raid during Christmas in the US and New Years for Japan since new years is bigger than Christmas in Japan.

To OP: I don't have a strong opinion on this as a casual, but I think SE wants the expansion to last as long as they can reasonably. I would think they prefer the majority of their players to not rush through the main story just to get to the endgame.

Not targeted to YOU, but I think SE is well aware of a chunk of players who want things released sooner, then complain there's nothing to do because they rushed through it.

Too bad Japan doesn't care about christmas like the westerners do.

Christmas is huge in Japan. Just because it's celebrated differently doesn't mean it's "not cared about". The only real difference in Japan is that it's not a day off.. so similar to USA's Halloween. Lotta people still celebrate it.

I like how many is assuming 12/21 is the release date for the savage patch, who is to say they won't break the news that they'll push to 2022 either? No one guessed the 6.0 release date correctly.

Well, it looks like they're sticking to the schedule as planned, but I hope they seriously reconsider it. I would personally prefer a delay over them speeding it up by a week, but anything would be better than the week of Christmas.

Don't forget — the pandemic continues to affect our lives, even if some places are slowly returning to normalcy. For some people, this Christmas will be the first time they're seeing their families in nearly 2 years.

Yes, obviously real life matters more than a video game, but my issue is the fact that it has to be a decision at all. I understand them wanting to get back to a regular schedule, but the fact of the matter is that the schedule is already pretty scuffed. I would much rather that they make an exception this time. Delay it or speed it up, but please don't release a Savage tier around Christmas or New Year's.

I'm super-hyped for Endwalker no matter what, but I just don't think that sticking to the norm here is the best thing for players.

If I am being honest week 1 clear. I can see my family every other week.
