Yeah it was hilarious how some people were so desperately trying to change the narrative and say it was Asmon's fans harrassing him. Now that the GMs have conducted their investigation there is clear evidence that was not the case!

I don't doubt there were fans of his there harassing him, like they do on every game he's in, but they no doubt quickly hung back due to the realization that GMs in this game are much more swift to crack down than other games.

People in the FFXIV reddit discord were saying it was someone from there that reported them. I think. Because sitting your whale on something affects more people than just Asmon and they were able to put in a report about that.

The whale is 1 thing. I seriously hope that the person that kept playing high pitched nose that felt were drilling into my skull got banned as well cause holy fuck, that was actually painful.

I don't remember anyone saying that it was his fans harassing him.

I and others did say that it was members of his community/followers. Not everyone in his community is a fan of him.

You're going to have a hard time coming up with evidence that those getting banned aren't also members of his community.

All I can offer you is a friend of mine that's a fan of his was tagging along near his character and using the glowsticks while he was streaming and told me what was happening.
