The problem isn’t showing more skin, I just want the armor to have a shape and be plate like. If I wanted to be a half naked tank, there are plenty of glamours (that aren’t fending specific) I can use to be half naked. The same argument can be made that healers have plenty of non healing glamours to look masculine in. It’s funny how wanting feminine gear means wanting to show more skin. That’s not what I meant at all.

Then could you at the very least show an example of what you believe more feminine fending gear should look like so I'm not unintentionally insulting you?

Challenged by a very vocal microcosm on Twitter, in woke academia etc.* And when push comes to shove, many of these ardent man-hating types actually appear to have an attraction for the very type of man they try to vilify.

And tbf, they have a pretty large market in the West, so they ought to know their customer base.

However, even in countries like China, what is seen as originating as a subversive push against the Japanese to feminise and thereby weaken their men, is now rejected in strong terms by the China's ruling party, which has little time for that kind of thing. I don't think it will be long until this happens in Japan as well. It's not like this game is aimed at anything but a rather small minority of the Japanese public.

I want armor that conforms to the female shape and isn’t a bulky box. I like the crystarium fending chest, but it dyes terriblely. I also like the neo top, the nier top from this last raid, halone fending, hellfire top, bonewicca boots. I’m already afraid the new pld artifact set is a box with a cape on female characters. I like roses and cherry blossoms. That’s what I want and like.

Also I don't know when or how this offtopic discussion about armor started since the OP very clearly stated that he is talking about the face, hair and body shape of current male races being all too feminine.

Plate armor looking bulky is not because it's conforming to the male shape. Plate armor is bulky because the less unecessary curvature it has the less pressure points and thus more resistant. You might not care about those details, but SE does, otherwise we would be running around in metal bikinis by endgame like every other MMO.

Tbh Crystarium is cool on both genders. Neo top is genderlocked (thank god). Nier top is genderlocked (thank god). Halone is genderlocked (thank god, even if i don't like it xD). Hellfire for male is not my thing tbh, the pecs showing just looks stupid to me so i wish it was genderlocked like the others. Bonewicca boots i don't care, i don't like them but there's plenty of boots i can use instead (boots are not the main thing for me xD).

So to make both of us happy genderlocking is the way but many others will disagree and make males wear females versions. Because they don't like to wear masculine things and don't want to play a female. Same thing for players with female characters who don't want feminine things, but most of them seem fine with neutral stuff at least lol. Most male who want girl stuff want girls stuff and nothing else, no adjusting. That's what frustrates some male players imo.

Tbh i don't find the endwalker pld armor "masculine", it looks more like a realistic armor. It fits for a tank and many armors in game go with grazy looks, it's a good change imo xD
