I want armor that conforms to the female shape and isn’t a bulky box. I like the crystarium fending chest, but it dyes terriblely. I also like the neo top, the nier top from this last raid, halone fending, hellfire top, bonewicca boots. I’m already afraid the new pld artifact set is a box with a cape on female characters. I like roses and cherry blossoms. That’s what I want and like.

Then educate us and show us what armor conforming to the female shape looks like.

Plate armor looking bulky is not because it's conforming to the male shape. Plate armor is bulky because the less unecessary curvature it has the less pressure points and thus more resistant. You might not care about those details, but SE does, otherwise we would be running around in metal bikinis by endgame like every other MMO.

And people need to stop talking about armor as if it was just designed one way and one thing was '' superior ''.
There were plenty of curved breastplates both in terms of the chest and the waist and also flat breastplates.

In fact Brigandines were form fitting, they still had a gap between the body and the plate but it was very form fitting still and even people who are on the obese side actually look fairly slim wearing them.
Armor conforming to the feminine shape would simply be to emphasie what is considered feminine the same way that breastplates at one point were shaped like corsets because small waists was considered to be manly ( or small/ toned shins etc ).
It'd be about emphasizing the bust by pushing out the chest dome or today it'd be like the more corset shaped breastplates while nowadays people don't view small waists as manly.

Armor design today do emphasize masculinity by being bulky, that is why there is such massive shoulders and why breastplates are very wide.
Because nowadays we live in a world where masculinity is equated to bulkiness and the wide frame, but that wasn't always the case and armor reflected that.

Also bringing up old paintings is pretty dumb, because women didn't wear armor enough to even be taken into consideration at all with how armor developed.
And most paintings of historical people are also done long after with no actual references and are just from imagination.
If women wore armor enough to be actually taken into consideration then armor historically would've reflected that, even nowadays there have actually been problems with body armor and hema protection because it's uncomfortable for a lot of women with more overtly feminine curves to wear the same as men.
In fact with a Brigandine it'd essentially be a necessity to push the chest out, because otherwise the chest would be resting on the breastplate which you absolutely didn't want.

Shadiversity made two great videos on this and Scholargladiatoria have talked about it before too.

In the end of the day there is no shortage of half naked men in video games either but I literally never see any of you complain about that it's always about when women show skin.
It reminds me of a video about '' the male gaze vs female gaze '' I watched recently where they brought up a scene from the Xena series and asked why Callisto '' has her stomach exposed with vital organs ''.
Completely ignoring how in the background her henchMEN are all half naked too.
