I still play SWOTR although with the recent patch and that new seasons thing ive taken a break as its a disappointing patch for me especially seasons being a re-skinned conquest mode. I do miss the set bonuses and legacy gear/legacy system and being able to use all your collected and unlocked goodies/mounts/emotes/qol upgrades on any character though.

It was surprising going by a few metrics so far how little interest there is in 9.1. I think this comes down to the simple fact Ion has already said they were doing some type of gear sets for 9.2 so this ENTIRE Domination grind is getting trashed in 9.2 supposedly. I really do think Ion has conditioned WoW players into coming back in the last patch of the expansion because by that point the game is playable.

It is wild how little Twitch interaction 9.1 is getting on a patch day and how many of the current stream are still in Burning Crusade even after the patch went live. It was very surprising how many sprouts were still running around Final Fantasy 14 on a patch day that was supposed to fix a lot of the issues with Shadowlands but only compounds upon the Systems.

I'm coming from Moonguard, so that feels like home to me.

You have not truly lived in FF14 until someone with an RP tag on whispers you and ask if you want to "Go thotting in the Waking Sands" because they think your in game characters looks great. RP community is super nice in FF14 especially if they see you sitting alone.

I mean if you like dailies and RNG grinds then sure. I have been playing FF14 for a little bit and have not been told to go kill myself so far so that is definitely an improvement.

I resub to WoW sometimes for Classic. Shadowlands hasn't gripped me for whatever reason.

Yeah, there's some serious disfunction going on with Blizzard. Pair that with years worth of controversies and some outright degrading comments from the team it's no wonder these things are happening.

Hahaha, I love RP communities for these sort of things. I'm on Belmung and I've been very happy with the reception so far. Though, I'll admit, I'm most entrenched on completing the main story right now. Want to try to have that done and be ready to go come Endwalker. Once that's done I'm going to really dive into the community and the rest of the game.
