Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

Aren't female Roegadyn unpopular mainly because of their face options? Its been years, but I'm pretty sure that was the most common complaint I heard about them. That and their animations/emotes not being something you'd expect. Also RoeBros look the way they do because they're based on the Galka in FFXI (minus the tail, which made them adorable). Blame the 1.0 team for that .-.

Probably a combination of both. Femroe face options + bodytpe. It's just not popular. Elezen females might have odd proportions, but they can at least look feminine, and can look good in the right outfit combination(s). They are also elves so people will play them for that aspect as well.

I've brought this up several times in this thread. The more unique or beastlike the faces are, the higher chance they are going to have to use a fantasia. If done just like male hrothgar, then only one other hair option per face as well.

That's kind of why I think that no matter what body type f Hrothgar will take they will be popular for the people who want that beast lady race. Small, large, high feminine, or brick breaking masculine those players will adapt and fanta.

I don't know, you are probably right on some level though, if they were to use even just a femroe body, a lot people who are a part of that furry niche or whatever probably would play them anyway, it probably could be more popular than femroe even, but how popular would they really be overall? I think it'd be nice to make what is potentially our last addition to new races, something that would appeal to more players, and get more outside of a niche.

Similarly though, I do recall people who like playing beast races playing male hroths for that reason, even though they say they didn't like how bulky they were, or that they were hunched, so yeah you are definitely right for that bit. However, I should add, if femhroth were to be some of these really bulky depictions, like the massive depictions (on a similar level to malehroth), I feel like there's a limit to how far some people will go.

Sure Elezens could stand to eat a few hamburgers, but atleast they cut a good figure in the majority of gear. Same can't be said of FemRoe, and by extension FemHrothgar if they go that route.

Just literally use the Queen model for the their body instead of the current one and the problem is fixed.

What's funny is I think the queen actually uses a scaled up miqo'te body or highlander's, if I recall.

I pray to be proven wrong, but that's the impression I got; Male Vieras get their debut, but Female Hrothgar gotta stay in the shadows for another Expansion. [...] There are more important things to work on

Delaying f Hrothgar to 7.0 would be really strange. It's also impossible to say where they are on their development, since all we heard during the m Viera reveal was just that they weren't complete.

The only way we would get both at once is if both were delayed to 7.0.

Look at the current pattern of new race character model releases.

3.0 = male Au Ra and female Au Ra
5.0 = male Hrothgar and female Viera
6.0 = male Viera
?.? = female Hrothgar

Essentially up to now it's been "one new model per expansion, released in pairs every second expansion".

They said at Fan Fest that they could have held onto male Viera until female Hrothgar were also ready, but decided to release them one at a time. That may mean they're only getting worked on one at a time too, and they don't have anything else to show at this point.

It's not impossible that we'll get female Hrothgar within 6.X but it definitely fits the normal release pattern for them to arrive in 7.0.

If we do have to wait that long it's because we're getting Viera early, rather than Hrothgar late.

Everyone's always hung on Hroths being just reskinned Roes while conveniently ignoring Viera are just Elezen with better posture, and would you look at that, they're both more popular than the race they "copied"

Actually Viera are based on Midlanders. Definitely the same hempen top and a lot of the same emotes.

And yet, I won't hope.

It's so terribly unfortunate that this is the type of female race/form I would play, because I have so much fear that SE will straight up humanoid that face.

Im glad that the are finally doing this. It will add more diversity. I hope it comes soon after Enderwalkers release. It does seem like they are currently working on it
