Well I certainly hope they aren't an expansion away. I didn't get that impression from his comments but who knows when it comes to races or new hairstyles. I guess we have to take it as it comes. I certainly hope they do a good job on them and enable many to want to give them a shot.

Hopefully we'll get some height comparisons for the male Viera as well. I do believe that stream is on July 9th which isn't too far away. I'm pretty excited to learn more.

I pray to be proven wrong, but that's the impression I got; Male Vieras get their debut, but Female Hrothgar gotta stay in the shadows for another Expansion. Plus I am well aware of whatelse they work on for this game, and I want the game to be at its best and get all the time and resources it needs and not deviate and cause something to go wrong or get delayed over my silly desire to be a playable Female Beast Race. There are more important things to work on
...But still...dangit I was hoping Male Viera and Female Hrothgar....if happening, would release at the same time.

I just need to know those 2 things. Everything else is an extra. I need to know what base they are working with to be excited for this or not.

It's all about perspective, Illaoi, Zaria, Scorpia, Urbosa, Lady Dimitrescu are all big buff women that still look feminine despite not being conventionally pretty, they just also happen to look like they can shatter your skull with their bare hands (or thighs) - they're what femroes should've been and what some of us hope Hrothgals look like, but wouldn't surprise me some people find all of them grotesque and not feminine at all ...which is literally the point of them being non conventional

Great examples of tall/giant women. My preference is always tall if I ever make a female alt, so I approve of those you listed. I just don't like the idea that female Hrothgar has to be male Hrothgar with long hair, no. Make them have curves like Demitrescu or Urbosa.

I hope that the weirdness of this situation means that they're willing to show something early. Like ... we KNOW they're coming. It's not like reaper where you can be like "A female of SOME RACE is coming! Wait to find out which! ".
Do we really need a big event like Fan-Fest for a reveal like this that we already know? The Bozja queen's final appearance woulda been a good time to make her go full Hrothgar, but perhaps they don't have the time/ desire to make a unique NPC head of this race for 1 scene. Given everything with Bozja though, from the mural to the Queen possession, I feel like we have a good idea of what body shape they will have (even if all the burning questions about faces and head shapes are still there).

Hopefully, them being willing to show murals and other heavy indicators of how they look in Bozja means that they're willing to show a screenshot of a model or something soon. IDK about the 9th, they just seem to be "reviewing" the EndWalker info. But who knows.

Lady D and Urbosa are great examples of why I think this talk of body shapes gets conflated so much when people basically ask for hrothgals to look like the "dudes but with boobs" or to have no sexual dimorphism.
Lady D is by all means just a conventionally attractive plus-sized woman who is 12ft tall vampire thing. She looks strong/ confidant and imposing, without being buff or ripped. She's soft looking and curvy yet clearly powerful af.
Urbosa is tall and fit. She def looks like an athlete. She has muscles and clearly cuts a feminine hourglass figure.
Neither of these women have a masculine shape to them, yet they succeed in every way at being strong, large women.
So it's always strange to see comments or art that wants to imply the females of this race have to have masculine shapes to not look "delicate" (TBH IDK how people started tossing that around. I wouldn't call any female in this game that's taller than a Draggo girl "delicate").

The reason the web simps out to Lady D, the reason people love Urbosa, the reason Female Norn are the 2nd more popular females in GW2 yeeeet "no one" wants to play Femroe seems clear to me. Tis why from the start I've been saying that "taller Highlander" makes the most sense.

There's a few more events, the the LL/14 hours stream and the media tour, my hope is they'll show at least concept art at something before launch.

From a marketing perspective they will not show them; it would be seen as confusing and misleading to the general consumer. Moreover, news that drive hype up like showing female Hrothgar is better saved for after male Viera comes out than before they come out. They will want to ride the male Viera wave in its entirety first. They would ride both waves if they were both being released together though, but that's not the case.

I expect 2022 to be all about female Hrothgar though, I believe they will come out before 5.3 for sure, 5.3 being the midpoint of the expansion around late holiday 2022. So we'll either get them summer 2022 or winter 2022.

Yeah, they're technically a new race, which is a huge selling point for games and I highly doubt they'd be released mid expansion or else they wouldn't have been vague about adding them "later on".

It's still kind of a bummer than Bozja of all places would've been the ideal place and time to reveal them, but it is what it is.

I duno, while you're right that a new race (well, half of one) is normally an expansion seller, they've kind of blown the hype by revealing them. It worked for M-Viera because before the reveal we were still in speculation as to if they were coming or the when being potentially very far away, there was no official confirmation for them. They've officially confirmed F-Hroth, so I agree with Amnmaat that they should come within this expansion and 6.3 seems like good place for them, however as they've blown the suprise I do feel they need to do some work to keep the hype going, just showing some concept art/some renders if they have them before launch would do wonders for that, I don't think anyone's expecting their trailer but I think if people just got to see them, it would be enough till they arrive, providing it's with the expansion.

They would not say "we're adding female Hrothgar also" if it wasn't coming out this expansion. Why mention that they're coming when you could've saved that for 7.0's fanfest? No, they're definitely coming in Endwalker.
