I don’t really see Crystal as bad either though. Like there’s gross people everywhere. Feel like Crystal just gets the bad end of the stick because it’s memed the most.Primal isn’t a bad datacenter. I’ve been on all three datacenters over the years and Primal can be a nice balance between the tryhards on Aether and the Forbidden of Crystal.
Being the middle child of the NA datacenters it often skips under the radar, but perhaps that era will draw to a close— at least for a bit.
Didn't really plan on commenting but just to throw something in.
Never watched him before and the only time I did it was pretty obvious who he is catering to. However one of his more recent videos talks about this one article that's making its course "ffxiv overtook wow in active player numbers" and him debunking it in what seemed to be quite logical and reasonable. So he is able to look at something critically and mostly without bias while explaining his thought process, but I fear his decision to stream the game to his audience and the pressure to keep playing his persona will suck the enjoyment out of him playing the game and only worsen the opinion most of the people have about him. I'd say just let him play without pressure, if he doesn't like it whatever, if he does, good.
The weird ffxiv purist mentality is extremely off putting btw, a game can only succeed if the playerbase keeps growing.
Never said you should worship him. You seem fixated about the idea that admitting that he's special = worshipping him. You're probably the type of person who'd go around saying "Jeff Bezos isn't special!! he's just a business man doing business!" or "Michio Kaku isn't special!! He's just a scientist doing physics!".Saying a guy isn't special and not making a big deal out of SE tweeting him = Im jealous.
Its wild how much you want me to worship the guy. He's just a gamer, he's just playing a videogame.
No matter what you throw at me, its a simple fact, that he's nothing Special. I never even mentioned how much money he makes, you did. .
Again, don't be jealous of others achievements and try to water it down to trivial things just because you don't wanna admit they're special.

I don't mind him trying it. It's about time he did though. I'm curious to know his actual opinion on the game instead of basing it off trailers and other peoples thoughts on the game. However, I hope his chat doesn't follow him. They are really toxic. And if they do and whatever server he chooses, I pray for you guys.
I think tbh his toxic chat joining could potentially benefit the game though. Toxic people in the end are just loud and annoying but they (usually) won’t hurt you. They cold be useful for thinning out the herd of very sensitive people in this game that get triggered or offended over every little thing.I don't mind him trying it. Or the GMs will simply do their job as they typically have done by warning people that do infringe on the Terms of Service.I think tbh his toxic chat joining could potentially benefit the game though. If they come here and cause havoc losing their minds Square Enix is going to slap down a lot of accounts with suspensions or bans. My guess is this will not happen and a majority of the bans will be in his chat lolI...genuinely don't wanna keep this dumpster fire of a thread running, but I'll give my .02 on this whole affair. After watching a bit of Asmongold's stuff and his OG account--he's not the problem. "Asmongold" is a character he plays and a parody of the type of neckbeards that play WoW. It just so happens that a lot of Twitch apes found that character relatable and end up subbing to his content, ironically enough.
ZackRawrr, who he actually is, is a softspoken, eloquent, and down-to-earth individual. He's actually a cool dude.
That said, I will say I'm worried about the selfsame Twitch apes that might follow him around ingame on whatever server he settles in and potentially ruin the game for everyone else. They'll eventually either be banned from ever playing again or get bored, throw a tantrum, and then leave. I'll also say I'm pretty disappointed in all the damn gatekeeping I'm seeing in this thread as all this purity checking is making my brain hurt. Unironically GCBTW.
Not sure how else to make it more clear....He's just another gamer, he's not special.Never said you should worship him. I dont care about his money or whatever Achievements he apparently has, or any amount of fame/notoriety he has. None of it means anything to me, but you love to tell me about it like it should mean something to me. You for some reason want me to be Jealous of another Gamer....I just dont get it lol.
He's gonna try the game after all he has said about it...cool, neat. Moving on with life. Like many others Im curious to see if he likes it and how far he will go....all of that said, its still nothing special that he is playing the game. He himself has said "Its just a Videogame" Even Asmon doesn't think its that big a deal, but other people want to make it a big deal.
Kinda Crazy.
Btw no..Jeff Bezos isn't special, he's just a business man doing business.
Never heard of Michio Kaku, but if he is a Scientist, that to me is more special then a Gamer.
Or a bit of both. Which would be preferable. The more toxic ones that are actually harassing will get banned, where the more blunt ones will stay and scare off the sensitive ones which would be a good trade-off.
He even tells people to avoid making "WoW vs FFXIV" comments.I...genuinely don't wanna keep this dumpster fire of a thread running, but I'll give my .02 on this whole affair.
