Also, the vast, vast majority of the games players do not send death threats or condone it. It amuses me that you guys keep hounding on that, like all of us were secretly in on it or something. I'd never even heard of either of the mentioned streamers until people posted about it here.

Not refusing to see any of it. In fact, I acknowledged that these things happened. They just aren't an accurate reflection of the entire community.

If SE is in general looking for YouTube opportunities, might I suggest Viva La Dirt - they do fairly well at consistently making videos that go mil view plus and have some overlap in the mmo community given some of their videos are inspired by WoW (but they've done other games, and non-game related content).

I've been playing XIV since 2010. I have completed over 10k duties. I can count the number of bad experiences I've had on both hands. And most of those were just... 1 player, not "systemically toxic community that hides it cuz tos"
