Wait how is that possible? Lv2 GLD, lv80 AST, nothing else besides crafters? How'd they get to Heavenward to unlock AST?

They did just enough quests to get the freedom to move around the city (the first couple of quests railroad you to the Adventurer's Guild and the aetheryte before they let you go where you want), then bought a story skip and a job boost.

Wait, can you buy a job boost without unlocking the class first? Because even when I msq skip on alts it won't let me unlock AST/HW classes unless I have another class at 50 first.
