No Op, actually it's what i prefer. Others can keep their Shirogane color splash bonanza, give me cold grey stone, covered in snow, everlasting winter, & sparse fires, piercing the night desperately sputtering to keep the dark at bay.

"Nemo me impune lacessit."

I want the gloom, snow, clouds, I will love it there and looking forward to trying for a plot.

I think it's going to be too gloomy for me, but it's good to have options with the different housing districts.
I can't wait for it. My favorite part of living in The Mists is the fog rolling in.
I'm more worried that all the nice cold, snowy, gloomy atmosphere will be destroyed by meme walls and giant toys in the garden. I have a really nice plot in Lavender Beds right now with neighbours that are really into witch/ hobbit style houses but I'm seriously considering giving it up for the Ishgard gloom.
To me the place feels dull and kinda lifeless so I won't be trying to move there. Good luck to those that do want a house there, imma be trying to snipe any large plots that open in shirogane xD

I hope it is to be honest, I kinda want that kind of space some where for housing to have a nice dark, gloomy theme for a change, there are plenty of Happy land spots already, give us some of that gloom

1. It's Ishgard. The gloom is part of its charm. From a lore perspective, I LOVE the idea of making Ishgard my permanent residence! I freaking LOVE Shadowbringers, but Heavensward is still probably my favorite expansion thus far.
But in running around the Firmament, I do worry a bit that it's going to be a bit gloomy and depressing.
I like the overall design, but it feels like it's missing... I dunno, "something". I like the bright decorations during the "Fetes" event, but still, it's lacking a certain "warmth".
Part of me would like to see a thicker coat of powder snow, as I feel like it would give you a bit more to work with as more of a "Winter wonderland" vibe.
(Also; should such options be available, I would go HAM on some Christmas-themed decorations!)
Part of me still wishes we'd have gotten some floating isles in Churning Mists or Sea of Clouds for a housing settlement, and Sharlayan seems like it could play home to a pretty amazing housing district, as well!
Either way, it'll still be exciting to get a new housing area. PURE FREAKING CHAOS those first few days, I'm sure, but exciting all the same!
(In fact, it might be kind of nice if they did some kind of "raffle" for the first spots, instead of the usual rat-race where those with the best PC load-in and get to the best houses first...)
2. It's Ishgard. It's cold and dark. The warmest anything that anyone will probably get is the public bath. Also reread #1.
3. More snow? Yes please.
4. More options like Churning Mists and Sea of Clouds? Also yes please!
5. I may or may not relocate if I get the chance. I'll have to get a feel for the area first when they open up the empty version with the launch of Endwalker.
6. No raffle please, for the love of god. Let's not go there.
Lavander hills during rain was my favorite spot to be... then I lost the plot due to being away for too long... and now I just have my little hut in weebland. Would love to get that medium plot back or maybe that little small plot off on it's own next to the waterfall basin.

Isn't that just part of the Aesthetic, which is part of why people want housing there?
