There should be other ways to obtain the Field notes.

I agree that the field notes should be made more easily accessible to people.No one has the time nor the desire to sit in front of a screen and mindlessly grind with little to know pay-off. This just irritates the dedicated players.

Not only that, but people are inconsiderate & rush to finish the Skirmishes before others can get to them

In BSF players can get away with that for the most part, since even coming it at around 50% completion can net them gold if they play their cards right. In Zadnor that is not the case. You have to be there at the start, or at least before anyone really attacks, otherwise you won't get much, least of all the field notes. And even if you are...being in a group is an absolute must. I think they tweaked how players get credit in Zadnor a bit, because I can do the same things in BSF with a crowd as a solo tank with Bloodsucker hitting everything, and still walk away with a gold, while in Zadnor I'm lucky to get silver.

That's something I noticed right away as well
Zadnor is an absolute pain in the rear to try to get gold for if you get there late. Bozja is certainly more forgiving in that aspect. It's a questionable design choice & I see why so many people dislike Bozja over Eureka now.

I started actually farming the Field notes I needed Saturday, but it was only for the one entire instance time then I took a break like nbd- Come Sunday I spent most of the early morning and late after noon farming the same Skirmishes (Dyunbu #12) and stayed around the area's her skirmishes happen- still no drop, I went back that evening & did another instance, no drop
Yesterday, same scenario- still no drop I also missed 2 Dyunbu skirmishes because people somehow managed to killer her very, very quickly.

It's a job at this point & I just want to be done with it. I don't understand why some of the field note drops have to be so abysmally low. I feel if I've fought her over & over- I'd atleast know enough about her by then to make my own field notes.

While every time I read the new notes and the rich lore they provide make me love the team a little more, every time I run CLL and Lyon's note doesn't drop make me love them a little less.
Not sure which one is predominant at this point.

Right, after doing this content almost exclusively since patch launch I am pretty much done with FFXIV. I need Lyon, Dabog and Sartauvoir and no matter how many times I do the skirmishes and Castrum I get no reward for my effort. I've even soloed MDK in a dead instance (with my MCH) and nothing. Oh and please don't tell me to just do the duels, I cannot. I don't have the skill to do it, its that simple. SE ruined FFXIV for me.

same, been loving ffxiv since started on SB, but this thing make me felt down for ffxiv like a full 180°, not because the inhumane long wait, it hot me Ill irl so definitely something wrong, hope they patch it before more people lose their sanity
