Very Easy option for solo duties should be available on the first try

Obvious troll thread but it does have a kernel of a good idea. The game lets you choose difficulty after the first failure. So a good QoL change could be just give you that choice from the get-go. Since solo duties tend to be rather long and often don't have checkpoints, it lessens the chance someone will get all the way through to the end but fail on the last part.

Something they could even do if they did introduce difficulty choices is they could make a harder version that someone could choose as well.

Sad thing is I sm willing to bet all my gil that some people do get stuck and would use a very easy option.

There were multiple people complaining about the MSQ duties at the end of 4.1, 4.4, and 4.5, so yeah, people were getting stuck before they added the difficulty settings.

I agree, there should be a very very easy mode as well . because i have been stuck doing the 77 duty for several days . could be i suck but i like msq but serious after 10 tries . should just have the dude die . so i can watch the cut scenes and move on . That very easy mode while playing thancrid is not easy enough.

She's not wrong tho. People HAVE asked for stuff like this. Remember when people couldn't beat SOLO DUTIES in stormblood and cried to SE to NERF those? I DO. And then they gave us those options... because people suck so bad they fail SOLO DUTIES. Let that sink in. So yes.. this is a troll thread.. but make no mistake.... this playerbase has asked for much much worst.

As a keyboard turner myself, I couldn't handle Navel Normal, so I switched to gamepad for that trial alone and been doing decently since.

OP is right, playing a game is overrated. We should just do everything in a series of nonstop cutscenes (you can save and pause tho) and eliminate all solo duties as well as all dungeons and story trials. Team-based online content is toxic anyway, have you ever seen WoW? This community can't be trusted to play with each other so we should just eliminate multiplayer content from the game.

Take Praetorium, remove all player controlled segments, do every solo duty and every dungeon, trial, alliance raid and savage raids this way.

You can just die quickly by going to help your son and when you get back the character will be dead and you can pick easy.
