I don't like low RNG unless it's possible to buy with a currency. The way that extreme trial mounts can be bought with 99 totems should be a model for everything in an MMO.

Yeah but there's another tier of RNG of hoping that you get pick to enter the duel. -..- I'm willing to grind more if I know what I'll get. Like farming trial for 99 times. At least, there's a guarantee there.
Indeed, now it feels like grinding for eternity, praying for RNGsus to end your pain. I can understand them wanting to have more people in the area. But this isn't fun.![]()

Well, HW and onward...ARR didn't have that luxury.
Definitely agree that getting the field notes through coins would be nice. I'm only missing two from southern front(numbers 12 and 17 - I know one is Lyon, can't remember what the other one is), and two from Zadnor(number 38 and 43 - not sure where either of them drop yet...haven't really looked for an updated list). Even making it 500 coins from the area they should drop in would be good.
I consider myself lucky to managed to get Lyon's from CLL.So in order to get the Al-Iklil mount (Fran's hoverbike), we have to get all Field Notes from all Bozjia areas.
I've been farming these Field Notes for days now. There's only 3 left for the Southern Front area: Field Notes on Dabog, Field Notes on Dyunbu, Field Notes on Lyon. The drop rates are abysmal. It feels like atma all over again. Some of those field notes like Lyon only drops from Castrum, which people don't really do anymore, or his 1 on 1 Critical Engagement.
There should be other ways to obtain the Field Notes. Maybe we can buy it with a 99 Bozjia coin or something.
Dyunbu's OTOH would just not drop for me....

Yeah, I would love to spend coins to get them, or at least see the drop rate increased. The way things are makes obtaining them quite painful. I'm fine with having to work toward something, so long as I can actually feel like I'm progressing.
There is so much coin that I really wish we could spend on something else. I could even be ok if we traded many spare field notes for ones we don't have too
I have been trying to get the field note for "and the flames went higher" for a week now. IT WILL NOT DROP, and half the time no one comes to the fate. This is getting obnoxious. I want my XII bike. I remember the game fondly. :C
The annoying thing is I'm missing THE VERY FIRST ONE. And even worried it was a quest item I accidentally discarded. I'm willing to buy them with coins, clusters, mettle, whatever. Anything's better than pure RNG or nothing.
Completely agree with this. Got most of the other field notes but Dyunbu note drop rate is absolutely horrendous.
Field note 1 is dropped from the "More Machine Now Than Man" Skirmish in the South Area of the Bozjan Southern Front.
