Even in 2021 I still say it is safe to assume everyone on the internet is a he or it until proven otherwise. Would not say it is problematic to gender identity or misogynistic.

I've honestly never really held a very high opinion of FCs that follow the "invite absolutely everyone without so much as a hello" policy as it gives me the impression they care more about bloating their member count for bragging rights then they care about anyone in their FCs as individuals.

Which makes the notion of the TC's FC getting offended at them leaving unusual to me.

A lot of people in this game's community are, unfortunately, very manipulative and possessive. Many FC's are a breeding ground for drama as a result and even innocent acts or words can rub the leadership the wrong way and be taken as a slight even if there's no malice involved.

I attribute a lot of it to the simple fact that the qualities required of a decent leader are actually pretty rare. Such individuals need to cast aside bias (even in regards to their close friends) and make difficult decisions. Many don't and those who are prepared to be fair and decisive are usually treated with contempt.

To be a good leader is rare, a born leader even more. It goes the same IRL with what we can call "natural authority".

Many people ignore or don't realize (or don't want to realize) that we are all full of contradictions.

Management is a skill that we learn. Most of time the hard way.

About FCs... that's a sad thing to see "factories" recruiting while nobody even bother to say hello when connecting or "family" FC recruiting after a drama when the FC needs to stabilize before even thinking to recruit new members.
Lively FC? ...where nobody talks nor says hello.

Unfortunatly, most of "stable" FCs are currently closed to recruitment.

Oh, I'm plenty familiar with getting screwed over by biased FC leaders.

I was removed from two different FCs due to anonymous individuals falsely testifying that was I badmouthing the FC leader and/or the FC itself, so I'm assuming that somebody with a personal beef against me and possessing the proper connections just wanted me to suffer or something. Trying to pry into the situation and get details about basically anything was met with either silence or claims that I was "crazy" for daring to want to know more about why I treated the way I was.

Incidentally, neither of those FCs are around anymore, which doesn't surprise me if those are kind of people they were being run by.

I typically use "they" if I'm not talking about the character specifically, unless I know the player's status.

"It" is a little..... dehumanizing. But I'm not worried about it.

I haven't found a FC here yet and I honestly don't know if I want one. I had a nice one on Excalibur when I played there all those years ago, but finding one that I click with is really, really hard. I'm a bit... peculiar.

Though I'd never stay in one that's possessive of it's members.

You won't politely tell them that you aren't interested, but you'll blast everyone on the forums about your business. If said FC members find this post then more drama will ensue, and your want to "not have to tell them" will only get much messier.

Yeah, some loss of an FC member you are. Honestly it's a good riddance. I would even bet that if your new FC finds this post, and somehow connects it to you, that they might even get rid of you. You're clearly a drama starter.

I would advise that if you want to keep something your business, that you keep quiet, and if you are pressed on the issue, that you give them a healthy dose of polite honesty in a private setting. You don't have to like peoples recruiting habits, but people work hard to build their FC's and they deserve at the very least a small response in return. If you can't give that, then it shows you do not value their time, and could give a crap less. This entire post is just a waste of everyone's time, including your own.
