I have posted this before but it bears repeating:
The day an ingame parser is allowed in FF 14 with data that can be publically shared, is the day we see "that guy" spamming dps meters and screaming abuse in Sastasha.

You in good quality, level 80 fully gemmed gear, scaled down to synced content, will blitz any DPS leveling. That fake "I'm second, as an 80 in Brayflox's" isn't a great reason to incorporate something that is used as a club on people because you gear has absolutely trivialised synced content for you.
That on-level DPS would either look at the number and be totally disillusioned for no good reason, or have their face rubbed in it for no reason by a leveled character.
Just accept that SE knows, exactly, how a subset of highly strung, overly competitive players will use it when they start raging. Nothing will change, because people have already proven what they do with the tool even in it's not sanctioned state.

You do know as long as they're synced as well, their gear will matter as much as mine, right? An anectdote but it rather underscores the devs' decision. I also play WoW and have since Burning Crusade. I was doing the expansion's raid in LFR (which of course is simpler than Normal) and got called out for not doing enough DPS, when in fact on my dps meter, I was 3rd... and I play a beastmaster hunter, which has some dps issues to begin with.. yet I was third in dsp? And having someone lower than me calling me out for not doing enough? Not the first time it had happened, won't be the last.
Parsers can be nice tools, I can't deny that they can inspire someone to learn their rotations better, but unfortunately, that is outweighed by the people who will use them as shaming hammers.
If they are synced and at the same ilevel, sure. But that wasn't your claim and please do consider how that level 30 would see the numbers, with you as a WHM coming in second place in Brayflox.

I said synced, and I really had countless alex or lab raids in mind. Most people are overgeared for that.
im baby

And as I said before, I'm not really sold that it is a good thing. Some of the mystery and mechanics of a game I feel should stay hidden from players. When you have so many tools that help and tell you if you are doing well bad, or even helps you improve. It kinda takes the magic out of the rpg for me. I understand why people want it, and understand for many the fun of improving and chasing a better number. I also understand the competitive nature that drives people to do end game stuff.
I just don't want every mmorpg to end up with that being the driving force of the community.
alas in a perfect world you would not have to be in a party with me you'd be banned for using a illegal parser
but you know this is simply my opinion i simply believe that people should follow the rules that they agreed to when they signed up for an account and that rule says that the programs you people are using are not permitted by the game yet you keep arguing for it if anyone is toxic its you people and your constant rule breaking

"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."
You’d have zero evidence I was even using a parser. And I typically run on PS4, so good luck with that. I hope you realize most folk here are both disagreeing with you and laughing at your ridiculous and honestly childish opinions. But enjoy maintaining your genuinely abysmal mindset.alas in a perfect world you would not have to be in a party with me you'd be banned for using a illegal parser

I'm not really laughing, or consider it childish. I just see it as their opinion. With how players treat each other in mmorpgs I can clearly understand why they might feel that way.
You are also right, Rules only matter unless they are enforced. So developers can say what they want us to do, but unless they can enforce the rules..and clearly they can't because they don't have the means to do it. Said rule is pointless. With that being said, that is why they can control what is being said in the game to players. And weaponizing said tools to let others know they are failures can get you in trouble. That is really the best and only middle ground they can do.
