I'd like to voice my concerns as well.

Like most people, when the male Viera trailer began, my immeadiate reaction was "Oooooh hats for Viera?" While I'm happy to see male Viera and a promise for female Hrothgar, I feel like the issues facing these two races needs to be addressed.

For two years, we've been holding on to hope that we would be included in new hats and hairstyles. I was completely fine with the idea that I wouldn't be able to use older hats, but to constantly have events and gear coming out for two years and not having much to show for it is really sad. The customization by using hats and hairstyles is severely lacking, making Vieras and Hrothgars look generally the same. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all.

It's disappointing that we are potentially going into Endwalker with still no customization options for glam. I've always spending time trying to get pieces of gear or hairstyles, working really hard, and when I'm finally blessed with the item I was hoping for, being able to use it on my character. But it's not the case any more. There's no motivation for me to try to grind items I'm looking forward to or even do events with nice hats.

I was hoping this would be addressed during Fanfest, but as a Viera player, I feel unheard and ignored. I don't want to have to pay for a Fantasia to swap to another race everytime I want to use hats. I want to keep playing my prefered race and be able to use the new hats and hairstyles with everyone else.

Yeah, echoing this sentiment. I actually started to get really excited when they started hinting at something bunny related at fanfest, even though I'd gone in with low expectations and tried to keep them low. It sounds pessimistic, but as happy (and very surprised) as I was to see that it was actually male Viera being announced, it's hard to even let myself be excited when, based on what we've seen so far, I can only expect they'll be every bit as limited as fem Viera are now.

I mean, I did the math, and fem miqo get 51 hairstyles at character creation (45 if you knock of the very slight variations) compared to Viera's 17 (and whopping 8 if you knock off the variants). Like it is not a small difference, and that's just starter hair only, not even looking at aesthetician styles OR hats. Like the difference in customizability is huge. I threw out most of my hats at the start of ShB because I just loved Viera so much, but it's hard to keep loving them when it feels like they haven't gotten any love since being added.

And Hrothgar have it even worse.
