Bumping this because I didn't like the idea of it being on the 3rd page.
Also, as a follow up, I did foam at the mouth/rage a bit when there was silence again about the Viera hair questions. I feel as if it isn't hard to say "please look forward to it" with this team we have. Also I filled out the feedback thing writing Viera Hair in every spot I could...it is proper feedback to let them know a percentage of the paying player base is not happy still.
Yeah I am worried beyond belief about what this means for f viera and m hrothgar. I have no faith.
Who knows, though? Perhaps f hrothgar are being held back because they are making sure they (and male hroth) don't have to use fantasia to change their hair..
If we have to wait for 7.0 for more hair im gonna lose it
I mean literally the only bonus to not having the option to have any hair they have added in-game as rewards either quest or otherwise, I get to sell on the mb....other than that, I am still miffed they couldn't bother to say anything about the current Viera in the game.
In case anyone missed it, someone posted an interview dated 01-01-2021 in another thread where he was asked about it again.
(Rosgal is how it translated it)Will Viera's hairstyle increase?
Please wait for a while for Viera Rosgal's hairstyle
Same answer we've been getting all along so not very helpful because we have been "waiting for a while" alreadybut it's more recent than the art stream.

I wanted to wait until after the Fanfest to see if the development team made any sort of comment on this. I'll throw my 2 cents in here.
I loved viera from the moment I played it, it's perfect for me. I was blown away when they announced male viera too, that felt like something they would never do, so to see all the fans wishes forfilled was lovely.
But I have huge concerns. To say we viera players are frustrated is probably an understatement at this point. I'm disappointed that this topic wasn't addressed in the slightest during fanfest. I really just want some sort of acknowledgement really, the longer they have constant comments about it with zero reaction, the more it seems they don't care about it.
I understood when they told us that it's impractical to adjust every single headpiece in the game to fit the new races. I was happy with the things they did adjust for us. But a whole expansion worth of new gear, with little of it suitable for us to wear, and I'm feeling a lot more jaded about it.
I feel the thing they've really not thought about is how much it actually does effect gameplay. Much of what I used to find fun in the game as been effected. Grinding for brand new hairstyles everyone is excited for, finding the perfect hat to fit the glam, none of that is relevant to us now.
Worst of all is getting cut out of events. Hearing there's a new event on, getting excited, going to see what the rewards are only to find out it's a hat that you can't wear is rediculously disappointing.
But to top it all off, is knowing that it's all completely pointless. Mods have been made that allow a player to see hats equiped on Viera and Hrothgar. Now, we all know mods are against ToS, but if you look at pictures available online, you can see that often, the fit on gear is perfectly fine. I believe the reason they've stopped some headgear on viera and hrothgar is due to clipping. I would argue that it would be much better if they let the player decide how much clipping we are happy with. Honestly, at this point, I don't care if a hat clips in a funky way. I want to wear that hat. I understand hairstyles are tricker, but we were promised our own race specific hairstyles. Given there will now be 3 groups of players cut out from new hairstyle drops, I think it's fair to put effort in to an alternative hairstyle that would fit those groups of players.
If these issues are not addressed, it encourages the use of ToS breaking mods, because the alternative is paying for another race you don't really want to play, if you want to be able to access those parts of the game you used to enjoy.
I just want the development team to acknowledge this issue. They must know about it, watch any live stream and the comments are filled with "hats and hair!", so their refusal to say anything speaks volumes. I really do feel it's a refusal, because there's no way that this topic didn't come up in the Q+A and was avoided. Please make a statement on this!
I'd like to voice my concerns as well.
Like most people, when the male Viera trailer began, my immeadiate reaction was "Oooooh hats for Viera?" While I'm happy to see male Viera and a promise for female Hrothgar, I feel like the issues facing these two races needs to be addressed.
For two years, we've been holding on to hope that we would be included in new hats and hairstyles. I was completely fine with the idea that I wouldn't be able to use older hats, but to constantly have events and gear coming out for two years and not having much to show for it is really sad. The customization by using hats and hairstyles is severely lacking, making Vieras and Hrothgars look generally the same. Once you've seen one, you've seen them all.
It's disappointing that we are potentially going into Endwalker with still no customization options for glam. I've always spending time trying to get pieces of gear or hairstyles, working really hard, and when I'm finally blessed with the item I was hoping for, being able to use it on my character. But it's not the case any more. There's no motivation for me to try to grind items I'm looking forward to or even do events with nice hats.
I was hoping this would be addressed during Fanfest, but as a Viera player, I feel unheard and ignored. I don't want to have to pay for a Fantasia to swap to another race everytime I want to use hats. I want to keep playing my prefered race and be able to use the new hats and hairstyles with everyone else.
I don't really get the work flow process or anything like that, but I think it's just easier or more efficient for the graphics team to finish the models first, and then work on head gear after the models are complete. So then they can work on male and female headgear in tandem or something. Maybe they did it this way for a reason.![]()
