Submitted day the promo launched.... just got it today. So took 8 full days for it to arrive. This feels like they were wildly unprepared for the response, something I feel like Square should have been able to warn them about (or maybe they were warned and just didn't care)
Have you tried sending a direct message to Butterfinger? They'll likely have to submit a ticket to prize logic, but it doesn't hurt to see if they can nudge it through if they feel everything complies with the rules.
They changed the recipe which tends to upset people. The flavor is off from what I remember and I'm personally not a big peanut butter fan, but I found myself clearing out the bag far too quickly even so. It would have been nice if the promo covered more variety of the full size bars, although that's probably to my benefit that they didn't.
I'm really curious how they decided the order of review with how all over the place it's been. Not a curtain we're likely to ever pull open. This whole thing is a crap show. If they want the code on the receipt then not all stores have the code on the receipt. I can't force a store to do that. I emailed the email given with the receipt plus the products with the bar code on it to show that those are the items I bought. If they still refuse then I feel like this is false advertisement for not clearly specifying what stores are good and what other aren't. I feel like getting a lawyer since a lot of people are wasting money and this promotion not doing their part in this and being choosey
Some people have gotten it with other items, however you want it easy for the person verifying to be able to look at the receipt and be able to ensure at least $5 was spent on the right product. If possible, you might ask the cashier to ring up the promo purchase separately. The receipt checkers probably have a quota to keep up with and a giant receipt is more likely to get a quick rejection if that's the case.

I did highlight the Butterfinger line when I sent it in though. Have not heard back yet, was going to give them at least a week.

Also, for anyone who may be keeping ideas of turnaround - I submitted mine on Friday, and got the code this morning at like 2:30 a.m.
