Free 2 Play still being considered?

I really wouldn't like a f2p model for FFXIV. I've played a few and prefer the monthly subscription myself. However I do not mind a cash shop for cosmetic items only.

My biggest pet peeve with f2p games; extra storage space-5 slots $10.00.
And they'll probably limit you to a 20 slot beginners bag....
