Time is moving too slow....
Well, people who saw the trailer bit from the last event know what his weapon is already.
I'm stupidly pumped for a new melee. I won't lie, I love melee classes. I just really don't vibe with the ones we currently have, and get by with the semi-melee RDM. Cannot WAIT to see the new job and it is killing me.
Right!!! Im one of the salty individuals still coping with dark knight being a tank and not a melee dps. Seeing the grim reaper hints/melee dps confirmation has me ready to disown dark knight/tanking forever.
It's all speculation until the reveal. That said, I too would bet gil on it being a scythe user. I can't say I'm excited per say, but I am curious. I got my gunblade job for Shadowbringers. It's gonna be hard to be excited for anything else after that. lol
I don't think Zenos has the same weapon as the new job, but I can be proven wrong.
I'm also not a melee player but I'm excited to have another dps to level and try out.
I am betting on a Garlean class. The Garlean Empire was founded by a guy named after a Greek Death God (Hades). It's army fields Reaper-class magitek armor as its main battle mech (something Yoshida decided to remind us of in Paglth'an) in addition to having infantry units with names like Wolf Skulls. Their signature attack is Terminus Est which is Latin for "It is the End" (Terminus Est is also the name of the Death Guard flagship in Warhammer 40K but I digress). We also just had the Werlyt quests inform us that Garleans have magitek soul crystals imbedded in the armor of their elite troops in addition to having Gaius firing off a new attack called Crocea Mors, which is Latin for "Yellow Death" (and also the name of Gaius Julius Caesar's sword).
And speaking of the Gunbreaker quests, the level 70 class quest had you facing off against a Garlean soldier, Vitus quo Messalla, firing of several new attacks with names like the Culling Blade and To the Slaughter. Culling is a synonym for Reaping and his name Vitus is Latin for Life or Lively so you quite literally had a Garlean soldier named Life using an attack called the Reaping Blade.
