I think that's an unfair assessment. Out of curiosity, if you hold the company in such contempt why do you continue play FFXIV?
There must be some things that they've done right, because generally people don't invest in something they loathe.

Have you not seen these forums?! They are full of people who seem to do just that lol.

More often than not, I truly believe that they don't see certain things until it goes live and the entire player base sees it. Their lack of foresight is something I have criticized them for on more than one occasion. This was another one of those things, though with potentially bigger real world implications.or perhaps you don't.
The question I asked was, in not so many words: Did the development and QA Team A: not notice the glaring issues with flickering lights and flat textures, or did they B: notice those issues, and then choose to ignore them. The First would be incompetence, not knowing how to do something right, and the second would be malfeasance, doing something wrong.

I've played the raid a dozen times and I don't have any idea what would even be problematic about it. There are flickering lights? When?

Lol remember how they had to patch it to stop the 2nd half of Mt Gulg from glowing because players were having a difficult time seeing AoEs?or perhaps you don't.

It's a safe bet they didn't notice some more issues that we found blindingly obvious.
Malfeasance means doing something illegal intentionally. So unless you’re seriously suggesting Square Enix are trying to murder their epileptic fans, no, you don’t know the correct usage.or perhaps you don't.

I would strongly advise you and your 'community' to create a Discord server to meet on, that way you won't have to deal with this absolutely horrible (according to you) platform anymore. Seeing as you apparently already view FFXIV as little more than a AOL IM or MSN/WLM equivalent. Also, if FFXIV is naught but an IM service to you.. why on earth would you even touch alliance raids? You realize you can sit in a house in the Lavender Beds and chat, right?I play this game in spite of the absolute worthlessness of the development team because I have built a community that I enjoy spending time with, and FF14 happens to be the crappy platform we meet on. I'm sure you remember AOL Instant Messenger, or maybe Mumble/Teamspeak? Same basic idea.
Anyhows, enough snark from me. I am legit surprised at how much you seem to hate this lovely little MMO and while there's definite points of criticism, I do not at all think the FFXIV development team is 'absolute worthlessness'.

Yeah, this perspective doesn't make sense to me either. I mean, I get not liking the game or not being happy with how it's developed over the years, but some people act like YoshiP is literally standing behind them forcing them to play at gunpoint.I would strongly advise you and your 'community' to create a Discord server to meet on, that way you won't have to deal with this absolutely horrible (according to you) platform anymore. I'm sure the marketing team is happy to get the sub/s. Kind of a shame to pay one if you don't enjoy the game but to each their own. And relative to the OP hopefully the development team will address the issue if it's truly giving people problems.
I mean at best they can just put a warning like all other games... they can’t change the whole game do cater to one group of people. And it’s Nier theme so you kinda know what you’re stepping in if you know the series at all. So like I said if it’s triggering then know the limits and what not to play in the huge list of other stuff that’s totally ok to play.
