Request: Longer hairstyles & More male hairstyles

At this stage I'm just wishing the dev team would just bite the bullet and just release more long hairstyles for glamour like Ryne's, Ysayle's, Hilda, the Red Girl Hair etc, there's a ton of short hairs in the game but the lack of longer hairstyles is really starting to show now at this point.

Hopefully the dev team isn't oblivious to the constant requests for long hairstyles & specific NPC hairstyles & are just getting the contest hairs out of the way

These are my requests for longer hairstyles-- I've posted these up so many times, one of my friends turned it into a meme on discord-- but to get on his nerves again, I'll post them here

First up, the hairstyle of Taira Kagekiyo from the PS2 and PS3 game Genji: Dawn of the Samurai.




Then of course, Kuja's hairstyle -- the main antagonist of Final Fantasy IX





Zilart Prince Kam'lanaut's armour and hair from Final Fantasy XI:





Caius Ballad's hair and armour from FFXIII.

- Yuna's X-2 style with the braid and everything would be AMAZING. I would totally pay for it in the mogstation.

- Reno's hair would be sexy af for men tbh.

- Sazh with better textures than that ugly afro hairstyle that we have would be refreshing. Yoshi P also out to think about releasing a fresh batch of black hairstyles during these trying times. Yes there are black people who get their hair done to extreme levels, or wigs, but it isn't everyone. I wouldn't mind waiting for more hairstyles that represented me, if they got them first. A pair of dreads and one ugly afro shouldn't be all that they get..

- And I know that this is reallllly out there. I don't know HOW they would do it, but I would love to see Seymours hair. It's just so outrageous that I want to see it happen somehow.

I think it's important to use the correct terminology when discussing the lack of variety in hairstyles. There's so very few short hairstyles in actuality and what a lot of people are referring to as 'short' hairstyles are, in fact, medium length.

Otherwise there's a risk of the development team getting mixed messages.

If you want to use the correct terminology, specify the length. Don't use vague terms like "medium length" because that's totally arbitrary. What is short? What is long? Where is the medium between them and does it vary by gender?

It’s not really vague when it’s common sense. But apparently with some people here that isn’t so common...

Iscah is actually correct - the definition of what is considered short, medium, and long is different between men and women, both in the west and in Japan. For women, medium length hair is from around the chin to a little past the shoulders. These lengths would be considered long by male standards in most places. So if you’re really concerned about the devs getting mixed messages being more specific with style instead of length is the way to go.
