I was shocked that people weren't talking about how this is the first open face helm that Hrothgar can wear when I saw so many tubers talking about the new gear. (Hrothgar can wear all helms outside of open face ones)

Seems like their solution in this case is just turning the ears off, wonder if that's going to be the norm or if they only did it cause of the big tail on the helm.

Honestly I love my Viera, but I'm at the point were I feel like I'm being penalized for playing one. Like I get not going back and fixing older hats. But mog station items and new stuff should be included, and its really frustrating they are not. The only reason I haven't changed is I can't justify to myself the cost of a fantasia for hats right now.

With that helmet you could argue the considerable space in the upper back may have allowed the lady to tuck her ears back enough to fit, probably a bit uncomfortable.. but when has comfort ever been the primary focus of combat gear?

Im with you there. There are some really nice hats in the game that I *LOVE*, but I also love both my hrothgar and Viera and will not spend $20 just to change them to a race (probs roe and femroe) just to wear hats again. I dont mind them hiding my hroth ears since they're a lot smaller than Miqo ears, but this for Viera is simply just....weird

It looks awful! Anyway, SE is probably like, "just giving the people what they want!".

It's probably less of an issue with Hrothgar, so I guess I'd be okay if this was the way they went with it. For Viera players it might be a bit more awkward because of their ears.
