    Monk basically needs every mechanic and skill on the job outside of the core GCD loop, form combos, and elixir field reevaluated. The Fist Stances may as well not exist, chakra is the worst designed gauge system bar none, there’s a bunch of left over skills that were related to Greased Lightning that have hastily tacked on effects that need more changes because the new effects are bad like Anatman, Bootshine has way too much potency lost if you miss its positional to the point of absurdity, Riddle of Fire is overstuffed with oGCDS, its movement kit is terrible compared to other melee, and it has no central mechanic whatsoever.

    The job is still just a total disaster even after the 5.4 rework/QOL.

    All jobs could always use a little bit of love and fixes here or there, ok... except maybe Gunbreaker and Black Mage... Those two jobs are about as perfect as you can get and im legit scared of what the next expansion does to them. But for me SMN and BRD are the two biggest in need of reworks, with other jobs in varying degrees of small changes that could be done. Bard doesn't need its core rotation change, but the soul gauge and entire support kit of the job need massive changes to satisfy Bard players. Summoner on the other hand needs a top down rework, where they finally take the turning shears and start making some cuts. Most jobs have lost an identity, but Summoner has kept too many identities for too long.

    Dire Need of Reworks - MNK, BRD, AST, SCH, WAR, SMN (x5000 this is the worst job by far in terms of bloat, clunkiness, and lack of job cohesion). These are the jobs that got absolutely binned with 5.0.
    Small Tweaks Needed - MCH, DRK, PLD. Pretty dang decent jobs with one or two glaring issues.
    Perfect (or near perfect) - GNB, BLM, DRG, NIN, WHM, RDM, DNC. 'Nuff said. These jobs have such minor issues, it's often just nitpicking for the sake of it.

    Summoner is the most needed for a rework because playstyle wise is quite a mess right now, with the worst offender being the pet mechanics;

    Scholar comes in second, facing similar problems to the SMN with the pets. Plus there's gonna be rework done anyways due to the new healer balance;

    Monk will probably have something big. The rework done was mostly to prune out previous stuff (I honestly didn't expect a full rework mid xpac anyway), so there is plenty of space to add new mechanics and complexity;

    In general, I'm expecting substantial changes to every healer as well, since the addition of a fourth and they separating 2 different healing styles will certainly cause a need to rebalance across the board. Plus hopes they'd make healer dps less braindead.

    The rest will get the usual minimal changes, but I'm lowkey expecting them to do something to make the Role class skilss a bit more engaging/interesting. Plus, I'm really curious where they'll go with jobs like Black Mage, that feel extremely complete.

    I will only speack for tanks mostly since idk about most DPS, DRK and WAR need tons of adjustments in order to first make them feel unique since they are just branchs of marauder right now and second make they gameplay being something more, for example DRK just lack any kind of deep and complexity and they skills/mechanics are just disconected, it's not even the same job at it was before. the whole role need adjustments too in terms of mechanics to make the role being more engaging since right now is just to simplified and boring in general.

    For healers i would say SHC and AST are the ones that need most love and the role need several ajustments too but they are comfirmed they will get them so lets see how it ends but all my support to the healers, i hope SCH get they fairy and dps skills ajustments and AST get they request on they card system.

    For dps DRG and SAM wich are the ones i play the most feels really nice so no reworks need it, SAM started poor with his new stuff this expansion but has been adressed mid expansion so just nice, for the rest of the dps idk so i leave dps mains offer they opinion on those.

    GNB needs SFX rework.
    MCH needs to be burned down and remade, because since the very beginning they don't know how to handle it properly.
    WAR, DRK, MNK, BRD, SMN are not terrible, but they are not great either, need some love.
    RDM needs some minor tweaks.
    The rest looks fine to me.

    I'm going against the masses here and say that SMN is completely fine and I love how it plays currently. I also had tons of fun optimizing it.

    WAR on the other hand...

    I think the summoner would need a rework not really on the gameplay,
    because the idea of ​​the semi-mobile mage is quite good,
    but the pet system needs a revamp, the way egi are used should be completely revised because they are clunky .

    I think they should remove the auto-attacks,
    add impact on egis spells and also new spells.

    rework spells that don't work efficiently like Slipstream .

    Set the devotion buff as a spell cast by the summoner and not the egi.

    Delete energy drain, to merge it with energy siphon .

    Make bahamut work similar to phoenix,
    reduce the duration to summon them to 30s.

    It is just too well designed and they don't know how to move forward with the job without reworking it.

    But despite that brilliant job design it is also kind of a mess. The rotation changes too often through the leveling phase, Freeze spam, cold Flare, Blizzard IV, Fire III is not usefull before reaching lvl 40... some streamlining might be necessary.

    Also timers. Black Mage is probably the most punishing job for messing up your rotation. Especially when you mess up in your opener and Enochian is on cd... And we know SE is trying to make the jobs easier and more accessible and there are not many BLMs out there. In 2.0 when it had basically the most braindead rotation of all DDs the job was a lot more popular.


    So yes, I expect the worst... I was DRK main from HW until ShB >.>
