No but gm would let you know where the violation actually is it. Or I guess you would hope. Some people are dense and/or not nose buried in the ToS/rules.
In this situation, I’d personally like to know but I can understand why the GM wouldn’t divulge that information.
Erpers are just like rmt in the sense that they’ll adjust their wording and messages to dodge filters. Don’t share the filter, can’t dodge the filter.
The reason for this posting is the reason was never given as to why the warning was issued. Even in the email statement from what I have gathered.
Carm is gonna post her logs in a bit after censoring all the names of people uninvolved with the issue in her chat, but I have read it and she asks multiple times what she actually did wrong and she keeps getting either ignored or told "Cant tell you due to privacy policy"
Its actually kind of an infuriating secondhand read, really.
I don't know who forgot to tell GMs that punishing people without telling them why isn't helpful (and isn't even debatably moderation, you're essentially just putting a timer on that person to accidentally do it again), but they really should hire someone to do that.
I never get the blind hate some people have over others RPing/erping, I never rly found that type of thing interesting or fun but I see no reason for people who do to not be allowed to do their own thing, they arent hurting anyone and it is their lives after all, why are some trying to police what others like to do when they dont hurt anyone.
Well outside of the typical close minded person who finds literally everything that deviates from their boring social norms as the "worst thing ever"
Ok, so maybe tell her she was engaged in inappropriate activity in public on X date/time? Also I dont know what ERPers youre talking about, 99% of the people I know that ERP do so in complete privacy and the 1% that dont are usually banned almost instantaneously.
I didnt think this had to be said, but AFAIK Carmilla probably wasn't ERPing in a public chat area, and if she did, I am pretty sure she would know pretty well why she was being punished.
This post actually has nothing to do with ERP, you as most people on your DC, jumped that gun the moment you jumped on it. ERP was mentioned because someone brought it up. The reason for this thread was Carmilla was put in GM jail, told she had a ToS Violation and not given details on the violation.
I’m sorry you’re mad at other dcs, but that’s not my problem. This post actually has nothing to do with ERP, you as most people on your DC, jumped that gun the moment you jumped on it. If I see “rp venue” and tos violation, I’m going to assume erp was involved. Sorry, but that’s the bed the “rp” (read: not actually rp) has made for itself in this game.
I’d like to encourage players to report anything they find offensive ingame so we can see more of this in the future, as well.
Sorry our Data centers differ on how RP is viewed, but here on Crystal, there is a difference between RP and ERP. And Report what you find offensive, but from Carmilla's ad there was nothing offensive, no language, no mention of 18+, nothing. So to report her and not tell her why, seems a bit odd, wouldn't you think?I’m sorry you’re mad at other dcs, but that’s not my problem.

You mean strike her? The reporter has no need to tell the reportee why they reported then, only to tell the reviewer, Ie the gm in this case.Sorry our Data centers differ on how RP is viewed, but here on Crystal, there is a difference between RP and ERP.
