Roleplay/Partyfinder Discrepancies & Policy Enforcement by GM's

The RPers who got hit are having the decisions reversed. A GM has formerly said it's okay to use PF for ERP. And GMs since whole craziness kicked off has said it's fine for PF to be used for social reasons as long as the content of PF post doesn't break ToS. RP and ERP does not violate this.

This whole thing came out of one GM.
His actions contradicted by other GM's.
In the nearly 8 years I've been here they've never cracked down on ERPers and have made no statements to suggest they will or that they are a bad thing.

Our naughty compatriots (not that we're responsibile for what OTHER people do) are here to stay.

Nobody is hurting your game, live and let live. Heck I am in favour of better PF options, if they were to go for what I suggested you'd be able to block out those ERP adverts you're too squeamish to see.

What Saefinn said. I have been watching people go crazy over all this. It was one gm who did a suspension from the photos shown and a few who got warnings. That being said we are just adding fuel to the fire if we keep going. Many here are just trying to get people's blood to boil who are in this thread because of being either upset or enjoying the drama.

How about we just let people simmer down and give it time. I am sure party finder will wind up with rpers gathering again under the other tab or even have a new tab put in place for rp sooner or later. Square does a lot for various kinds of gamers be it content, roleplay, and so forth.

If complaining and starting fights in a thread that was made to just shed light and ask for help. If some insist on acting like children then let them play in their playpen till a moderator or more come and lock the thread.

Thank you for the clarification here. Is there any chance that this thread can be scrubbed for harassment regarding this topic, though? There's a lot of stuff that's been said where individual users or entire groups are attacked or defamed.

SE needs to revise their TOS clear up the vague and detail lacking sections. They also need to go through all guide lines governing Game Masters, So Game Masters are all on the same page about how to handle Violations and SE's interpretation of the TOS. Two first time offenders for example committing the same violation, should not be recieving two completely different punishments. Some lines need to drawn in regards to whats ok in PF and what is not so this kind of stuff does not happen again. Posting Run sale adverts in PF and chat needs to be against the rules period. No more dancing around the bush cause SE is unsure if its RMT or not, No more worrying about if they are hurting someones feelings or destroying a honest group. SE needs to start approaching a lot of these issues with a iron fist and make it clear it will no longer be tolerated. A tab in the PF for social events is without question a good idea and will help clean up the PF..

Lets keep this thread going dont let it die. Its time to scream loud enough that they take some actual action!!

Just because you're okay with looking at the trash-heap in front of you, doesn't mean the rest of us are.

You must have missed the bit where I said that I am in favour of better PF options and alluded to a suggestion I made earlier that would allow people, like yourself, to not see them. That should tell you that I recognise not everybody wants to see it and see a middle ground that doesn't involve making all RPers regardless of their type "go to the shadows".

I mean ERPers already show a courtesy of keeping it all in private, just they don't advertise in private because that's the point of advertisement...to reach people who aren't interested. Given advertisements aren't explicit in nature I still struggle to see the offense...like...nobody has to partake.

But fair enough there are people who don't want to see it.

Have an "adult" flag on the PF, anything that uses is not shown to people who have a setting to block it.

Easy solution. This could then also be built into parental controls so for all the "what about the children" have a solution and the people running these events? They have better tools to self police with.
