Why are you, those offended by the rp crowd, seeing these ads if you're using PF for its purpose of pve content? ������ They are correctly in the other tab of party finder to look for parties for other content. You have no business looking at them if you're being honest with your PF usage.

I doubt this is an official stance given it's only one GM, honestly. Really hope that it isn't at least.

I will say that if it's just left free to act, then even if they don't admit to it, it'll end up being a stance.

The company can very much end up responsible for what their employees do, specially when it's being done on company clock time. If you went to a retail store and an employee just slapped you, that's one thing, but if you bring it up to management and he just literally ignores you, that's basically saying they approve it, and it's their stance.

My take is to make everyone happy - have a RP tab in PF and let people filter it out. I'm also for the banning of such terms such as 18+ or "courtesans" or similar since that gets people in a snitch. Most people already know which venues are where they can go to hire someone for companionship, and venues can already go and advertise that fact local to the venue itself. A big percentage of people only go to such clubs to chill out, listen to bards/music and dance.

I am hoping though that this is a work of just one GM, though. But SE should go ahead and throw everyone a bone, since the conversation has started.

RP is pretty much the only reason I stay subbed between major patches, because I don't have the energy to do more than that with my work schedule as it is - and PF is the easiest way to find venues. Hell, I tried USING the Fellowship Finder for RP stuff when I first got in the game and it sure wasn't great for that beyond linking me to a discord that posted the events.

Making it harder for folks to find venues to go to doesn't benefit anyone, because venues already use the Other tag. At least they're properly labeled unlike, oh I dunno, the content sellers that are far more egregious with breaching TOS. If RP stuff gets taken down like this, all of those absolutely should be removed as well.

(also hating rp in general isn't a personality, it's just kinda sad. let folks have fun, like c'mon. being rude to people just because they do something you're not big on because it's "cringe" or w/e doesn't make you cool it makes you look like a garbage person)

Sadly,a friend on Primal that works at a venue reported another GM 3-day banned the bartender that they work with. I was hoping it was just one gone rogue, but I didn't see logs so I can't be sure.

So after looking at the ToS (https://support.na.square-enix.com/r...1&tag=users_en). There is literally no where, where this is incorrect. This GM honestly has no leg to stand on. Before people say, "But 2.8." if you are to say RP venue's fall under 2.8 so does a PF for the latest extreme primal.

For everyone complaining about ERP/NSFW content, I have never seen a PF (on the data center w the largest RP crowd) that flat out goes into ERP/NSFW content in the title. It will say 18+ etc. etc. My advice to you, is two fold. One don't yuck someone else's yum. Two grow up. You can look at it and say, "Oh hey, not for me." and keep scrolling. This problem affects ALL RP venue's and events even those you may enjoy yourself.

The problem with a fellowship system is three fold. One you need to know someone who is in the group who can invite you. NEXT, it will lump all RP together. I don't think someone who wants to RP as a Limsa Guard wants to RP w someone who is Rping as a fluffy princess who wants unicorns to rain from the sky. The story lines can cross but most likely they wont. Lastly, this will force people off the game to Discord/forum websites, where SE will literally have no say in what is done.

My comment to the GM in said picture, please actually play the game. Please actually partake in all forms of content the game has to offer before you make these snap decisions. Lastly and most importantly, please understand what your ToS state. We agree to those as consumers and we do not agree to random rules you set forth. If it is not in the ToS you need to back off.

I never had any issue finding duties with PF amongst the rp things. Seems such a frivolous thing to punish people over when gatherer bots and RMT ads run rampant and plenty I've reported never get dealt with.
Clarify the rules, explain why the rules are this way and provide people with an alternative if PF is not the place. Fellowships and linkshells are NOT fit for purpose for venue ads.

Like, 18+ Stuff? Okay, get rid of it! But don't leave everyone else in the firing line.

PF has always been a means to meet new people to do things with, and if they aren't going to give a proper equivalent this is completely unfair to everyone who uses it for that purpose.

Who is to say what you want out of your party? The "Content" of this game is whatever THE PLAYER makes of it and enjoys, not what a GM should decide is content!!

Could this whole stink have something to do with the new Data Center visitation coming? Maybe they are cracking down because people from other data centers might take issue with our casual approach? I want FFXIV to remain friendly so I hate to see it cater to those who are less tolerant but..this may be the norm, sorry to say

Bumping this for visibility and to throw in my two cents.

This GM Wyndallus needs to be investigated by the SE support team managers for inconsistent policy enforcement and potential abuse of power, and maybe even be removed or suspended from duty based on this.

The suspensions they handed out should all be audited/reviewed, and the suspensions for players who were not actually in violation of any policy should be lifted immediately.

When my PF looks like this thanks to clear sellers, yeah, it feels hypocritical to ban RPers for spam.
