Even if you aren't "joe casual" and you play for many hours a week trying to get luminary axe, you can't turn in your items because the quotas are FAR too small, with preset items. Even if you wait at the counter before reset, you wouldn't be able to turn in most of your items.

Also, even if there are more important things to fix, would changing the quotas take more than 30 seconds?

There are about 30 names in this screenshot. That's 10 more than the entire population of Lindblum.

The provision for Black Ghosts filled within ten seconds and Iron Scutums within a minute. That's 500 fish per second and about 5 iron scutums per minute. That should not happen.

I use bold text because it makes you read it louder.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the problem with the current system. Those who enjoy the current system can talk about competition and preparedness and being a better gatherer/crafter/gamer/human all they want, but the fact that provisions fill completely in less than a minute now means that something is wrong with the system.

I'm going to keep saying that personal limits are the way to go, or really anything different from the static system currently being used. That being said, I'm surprised no one has attacked the per-player limit idea as being a "single-player game" mindset. To that end I'm offering a counterargument. Gathering and crafting, the former maybe more so than the latter, are inherently solo classes. Until SE gives me a fishing sailboat that I can captain and bring along a crew of trusty Lominsans to help catch BIG fish, the fish I catch now were caught solely by me.

I also really like helping others out. My wife gets some of my fish every week, as do a few of my friends in different Companies.

I hope SE takes notice of this thread. I don't expect a fix any time soon, or perhaps ever, but acknowledgement would be nice.

    I vote for:
    • Personal Quota
    • Random weekly items (within current 8 kinds in the same category)

The hardcore vs. casual argument here is stupid. The difference between hardcore and casual should be the effort they put into obtaining the gear, learning the strategies... all that kind of stuff. It should not boil down to "Who has the best internet connection?" That's not an indicator of how hardcore you are, it just means you shelled out for a better internet connection (And most folks have broadband anyway) and happen to live closer to Japan.

Common sense dictates more people doing something = higher chance of something hitting capacity....wasn't the goal to have people playing this game and people complaining about "low population"? This isn't something that's meant for everyone on a person by person basis to benefit from, it's overall trying to benefit the company.

You know that the company is fictional, right?
