A strong voice from player base can be a leverage for ffxiv dev team to ask for more resources and support from the company.
I'm all for voicing disappointments. I'm pretty sure I do that almost every day on these forums in some form or another. What I think should be avoided though is things like "game's dead, rip" or "hardcore vs casuals" or other petty/unproductive things. Sure, I wish some would see the bigger picture, but I know full well that it's easier said than done if one feels slighted. I understand that completely.
