If your character continues to interact with the game through a third party method that does not require your active attention or participation for it to do its job then that is not playing the game. Regardless of whether you tape a button down or you use software, in the end its the same: having the game being played for you through a third party method that enables you to not actively participate in even in the smallest way.

Alright I'm glad we're in agreement! I look forward to banning all the gamers who own both a mouse and a roll of scotch tape just in case. After all, why would they need tape and a mouse if they weren't planning to cheat -

But in the case of this game taping down a button isn't enough to achieve anything because multiple different inputs must be done due to the nature of how activities work. So that argument doesn't hold any merit as far as this game is concerned, because there is nothing you can actually get from merely holding a button down.

To focus on this "tape button down" argument is just waffling about semantics that hold no relevance to this thread or even this game.

So let's say I'm at a mining node, and I line up the node and the prompt window underneath my mouse cursor, set it to click, and pop away from my desk to go stare at the clouds or something. Is this something that simply isn't actually occurring since by your criteria activities require more than 1 input, so my character has entered a state of non-existence?

How about when I had thousands of items to desynth before the shortcut toggle? Pretty much just me lining 2 prompts up and spam clicking. Some with lockboxes or bozja fragment apprasial, I'm just mashing 0 to continue. Is this likewise true for buying a house? I dunno, you tell me. Would the person who tricked OP out of their gil had been able to predict which part of the screen they'd be clicking to buy those items if there wasn't some way to line the prompts up to make it happen with 1 input?

Autoclickers such as the one OP used are not accessibility software. How do I know? I use accessibility software for work.

Do you think that would be grounds for suspension as outlined in the third party software clause in the TOS? Do you think autoclickers have no accessibility utility.?
