I could see Lunar Bahamut setting fire to the Shroud at the end of Shadowbringers in an echo of the Calamity. We'd then deal with him (and other nightmare fuel like him) in the raid series.I feel like the "lunar" primals are most likely going to serve as either solo duties or dungeon bosses if anything.
I'm expecting Lunar Bahamut to be the "final boss" of ShB we fight in patch 5.55 as a solo duty after the actual dungeon in 5.5, though considering that it's not actually a primal having the Scions and Estinien help us destroy the thing might be viable.
But then again, maybe that's too predictable.
Zodiark or Zenos and more likely a combination of both.
It might be Zenodiark, but we all know the real boss of EW will be all the new Sages in Holminster Switch.
We know the 8 man will be "Pandemonium". In FFII "Pandemonium" was basically hell, so I think the 8-man raids will see us facing off against past XIV bosses in hell, hence why Lahabrea was shown.
I think this would be a good sendoff to the first 10 years of XIV since they've said that the next expansion will be the END of this story and the BEGINNING of a NEW story.
So we'll fight things like Livia, Nidhogg, etc. Just my guess
The amalgam of Zenos, Zodiark, and Hydaelyn. Fandaniel will turn into Zemus/Zeromus on the Moon in order to try and stop us from stopping Zenos eat/fuse with Zodiark.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
It's an outlier theory but gonna put in a guess for Ragnarok, perhaps as some sort of incarnation of the End Times summoned or transformed into by Zenos/Fandaniel.
Yes it got name dropped in Coil, but Halicarnassus set a precedent in that regard and the Allagans surely got the name from somewhere

Only the Alliance Raid is not a crossover. Everything else is likely to be reference heavy even if a spin on the inspirations.
My guess? Hydaelyn and Zenos.
We already know that Light and Dark do not equal good and evil, so it'd be pretty interesting if the Warrior of Darkness had to absorb power from Zodiark to counter Zenos absorbing Hydaelyn.
It'd also complete the Venat/Vayne reference. I'd rather witness the MC draw on Zodiark than Zenos, but we'll see.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I wouldn't, not if it means Zenos getting Hydaelyn. That would be a letdown of an ending to the story that began with us hearing Hydaelyn's voice.
As a certain someone once said:
Well, (Zenos) cannot have (Hydaelyn)! (Her) dreams and ambitions, (her) body and soul--they are (the WoL's), do you hear me!? All (the WoL's).
