A friend visited one on... i think it was zodiark for the lols and sent me screenshots on discord... im really a pervert n all but dam.... i dont know how they can do that lol. Even more when you know how many there mod.
All I'm aiming for is the judge gearsets I will gladly walk away from the rest. Downside is you need at least level 10 to get them.
"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."
There are some who think "well i don't do the content, it doesn't matter" but like the economy hit of no ultimate I mentioned before, it also has another effect.
One thing YoshiP liked from the first ultimate on was that it brought the largest streaming audience for the game.
Like today you aren't aren't going to be a very successful XIV streamer unless you do almost all end-game content, like savage at the minimum where you are progressing something new every broadcast versus daily same casual stuff everyday. Successful streamers today include Mizzteq, Spofie, and Xeno.
So Ultimate brought streaming watches at the all-time highest ever in all regions, and YoshiP admitted they had fun watching groups fail the UwU awoken mechanics. So there is also marketing value for the content outside of a way to solidly generate subs for months that can roll over for years since the content cannot be undersized, and will always be a relevant challenge. Say new raid group joins XIV in 2020, clears savage, now has 3 possible ultimate to challenge now. Instead of 4 unfortunately. But they may stay along for all if they are that type of group.
It's always been centre of attention when the player is very skilled in Savage/Ultimate, plus Xeno got a lot of guides up notably fast back in the times. Plus you forgot Arthas who is a skilled player too.Like today you aren't aren't going to be a very successful XIV streamer unless you do almost all end-game content, like savage at the minimum where you are progressing something new every broadcast versus daily same casual stuff everyday. Always accuse someone of trolling when you can't respond to them, right? You know very well that I'm right. The game now is being shaped by players who would instantly ditch the game over trivial things like the ridiculous outrage over bunny dudes. SE should take a page from Fromsoftware and build a massive skill wall to keep the casuals out. The game economy is going to be safe because Mogstation will pay for it. The developers design creativity is now being limited by catering to casuals that Jobs became so brainless and yet, they still don't know how to play the game!Trolling doesn't work when it is so obvious, but I'll bite for a second.
It's this kind of trivializing and parodying of genuine topics like the vague delay of Ultimate from .3 > .5 (which it is) which makes people unwilling to agree with you on a level of principle. Probably the most 'toxic' behavior too since it only makes people all the more reluctant to even listen on the offset genuine topics that do arise like this one, so, well done!
You're a special kind of...honestly, I don't even know what you are, much to my horror and curiosity.Always accuse someone of trolling when you can't respond to them, right? That would be a horrible decision since casual players are most likely going to pay more in the long run than hard-core players. Plus as any good developer would know its better to pander to the casual community than hard-core. The game was never marketed as a hardcore game like fromsoftware games so if they suddenly shifted the game to be like those games than they would likely lose troves and troves of people which loses them money which would make it so SE would shut the game down or stop funding it completely so no more expansions. Not like they dont throw the hardcore community a bone with ultimate and savage raiding. Plus one can always become a master at a job and an encounter so there is ways to learn to optimize giving those that want it to optimize their gameplay. Much to your dismay SE is making the smart move with how they make the game encounters and such pandering to more casuals than hardcores. Course you probably havent experienced the harder content yet since you are only 24 so i'd suggest trying those out.Always accuse someone of trolling when you can't respond to them, right? If you want to try and assert objectivity into this discussion with respect to how healthy or unhealthy certain groups of players are for this game, then going in accordance with general trends in the patch, and how quickly raiders exhaust content they have a vested interest in, combined with the interest or lack thereof in other content; they would be far more unlikely to unsub, so that argument works both ways. It's a simple fact players exhaust content far quicker than it can be developed. Whilst you can argue Mogstation will provide profit therein for the game, it likely isn't going to be to where they can sufficiently provide consistent content. Especially when your proposal is akin to walling a majority of players to unsub, your proposal is unbelievably naive and fails to see beyond your own personal interests without understanding the implications of going forward with such things. Not to mention when you factor that a large portion of profits are already more than likely used to finance the development of other games. I'm really not sure you understand design at all, nor profits when you'd already slash the player base and content therein.
You probably didn't even play in the days or Gordias or Midas either, so let's give you a little refresher on how it was back then. A4S and A8S in terms of intensity probably rivaled that of the Ultimate content, and ironically enough was in fact over-tuned for the iLv it was designed for in the first place, requiring gear that actually exceeded the minimum. These things shattered a lot of the raiding community and if you were around, you'd have seen this yourself. Something which I'd argue you'd probably go back on your desire and wish for the days of Eden. Hence why since we've had tiers like Creator, Omega, and Eden. With Ultimates to provide further challenge.

It's easy for you to spout this when you didn't really first hand see a majority of groups failing to meet the dummy check presented by Faust before you could even raid in the first place. Arguably more players back then we're hitting a training dummy that hit back than actually raiding and dealing with interesting mechanics. In fact, when it came to A4S one of the more accepted strategies for handling with the big mechanic Royal Pentacle was to sacrifice rather than handling the mechanic in the way the devs originally intended, and you still want to talk about design when the biggest 'gimmick' in the A4S fight was cheesed/undermined. You want every tier to be like this? Please LOL.

Are you saying that, if you don't stream and you'd rather have everything be cheaper in the marketboard, then you would want Ultimate to be gone? There are some who think "well i don't do the content, it doesn't matter" but like the economy hit of no ultimate I mentioned before, it also has another effect.

I'm not sure your post actually provides a compelling response to the "well i don't do the content, it doesn't matter" crowd.
Lol imagine watching streamers
Anyways. Enjoy your Bozja mkp! Its not what you wanted, but I hope you can find some enjoyment out of it. I truly do.
