Saint title should get first dibs

Now, don't hate me, I know it is the forums, but hear me out!

I think it'd be super cool if people with the Saint title got first dibs for a plot in the new housing if they want it.

Realistically, that's what? 12-36 people per server, getting first pick of something like 1800 plots? Those poor fools busted their fingers trying to craft up a storm, titles are cool and all but surely they deserve a house. Right?

I'm saying this as someone without the title, I'll be struggling to the fight the bots just like the rest of you :^)

I got saint but these guys also participated.

What id hate to see happen is saints lose out to those people who proudly boast that they’ve never been in the firmament and haven’t levelled a single crafter but will be desperately trying to block plots on patch day.

I know people who got the Saint title legitimately (and nearly killed themselves doing it to avoid the bot-driven score inflation),

I don’t know about the first two seasons and different servers may be different. But I got saint and didn’t no life it or make myself ill at all. I scored like 200k points and came fifth. Most everyone in my group was clearly legitimate too.

Perhaps it’s different on the really big servers, and I know the scores were higher in the first one, but honestly it wasn’t what people who didn’t do it often make it out to be, at least for me.

We literally built the house. Non crafters wouldn’t have finished the restoration if we didn’t do it for them. We sit there all day grinding it out and these guys just pop in to do the fates, and they’re going to make it hard for us to get houses after they put no effort in to help the server. It’s a bit distasteful.

OH please aww poor baby. You grinded for the title not to build the place who you kidding. You got your reward. Sure you'd have been there building it if there was no title to be given. Amazing how the place died when the placement period was up.

That's just as silly as saying all 1.0 and 2.0 players should have dibs, because without them you wouldn't have a game to have a house in.


Also, this may come as a shock to you, but not all of us can take 10 days off work, or work from home to do crafting all day.

You chose to do that for a title. You shouldn't get anything more.

They have every right to those houses as you do. You already received a reward in the title itself. Now you're asking for an additional one. The whole purpose behind adding another housing district is to give every player more of a chance at purchasing a house. Gating it off like you're suggesting defeats that point.

I'm happy a few hundred people will get to have a plot on popular worlds. Only allowing crafters, or participants in this, with housing in it's current state would be abysmal, and a new district is just a bandaid fix. I'm sure on less populated servers, it'll be much easier however.

I’ve been in there every day since the placement period was up. And I don’t use the title. I was in there before the placement period even started.

Some of us enjoy crafting and worked hard on the ishgard restoration. But we’ve always known it would be open to all and people like you would show up when there’s something to be had. Just need to get to it before you is all

Didn’t do either. Four hours in the evening. Wasn’t hard, you just chose not to do it.
