One thing I've noticed on the housing forums is an alarming amount of people defending SE, saying it's not their fault people no-life to get a house after creating an environment that encourages no-lifing or botting to get one. This seems to be a unique opinion specific to these forums.

There is a significant portion of the NA community who wants RMT, third-party programs, and bots to succeed in this game. This community has been this way for almost fifteen years across two SE MMO's, and they have had a LOT of help from the NA Community Team over a long period of time over same.

How long have you been playing SE MMO's? This goes back a decade and a half. Look up the Order of the Blu Gartr and see how chummy they've been with Matt Hilton and the NA Community Team.

While this being non-issue to house owners it doesn't stop them from chiming in with their nonchalance.

Do I think the random timer is a good idea? No. I honestly think it was the worst way possible to address reselling housing and it didn't even succeed in that goal. But it literally is not Square Enix's fault that people are ruining their sleep or skipping meals or whatever else over fake real estate.

That is a conscious decision you make all on your own.

I am surprised that you haven't noticed that a lot of people are living in their little own world; imagine how things should works inside their own little bubble

That is a conscious decision you make all on your own.

Square Enix literally created the system that encourages such bad behavior, I'm not saying all the fault lies in Square Enix's hands as people need to learn personal responsibility for themselves. But it's clear how SE shares part of the blame by creating the environment that fosters this behavior in the first place. Personally, I blame both SE and the players.

What does the potential for accidents have to do with you wanting to lock more people out of the running to get a house?

You lose a house so Johnny who works the evening shift has to have a harder time buying one?
