I am so EXHAUSTED with dealing with people now. I just remembered why I just play this game solo, why I never bothered to look for a guild, people. Yeah, I'm venting. I've been running groups in Borzja for going on a good 3 weeks now, maybe I've just been having bad days lately. I never even wanted to start running parties in the first place. I just always get put into leadership positions, I hate it. I always try to make the farms work for everyone there. I genuinely feel bad when things don't work out. Don't get me wrong, just like Eureka I've met some fun people here and there, but in general people are very combative. It can be a literal minefield to try to actually try and chat with people.

I don't know. I'm not really adding too much context here. I just waste hours. upon hours, upon hours doing things SOLELY for other people, because I want things to work out. I hate leaving things unfinished, things should be done right, and end well. Guess my time doesn't matter. Whatever. Not much of a rant I guess.

So I had the audacity to try and cluster farm again tonight. This isn't such a great community. They only prove this to me as time goes on.

Probably off-topic, but I'm just venting again. I'd put the details here into the duty finder thread if it was duty finder. Still somewhat relevant to this thread. Read if interested in context, or don't.

Slow going parties for cluster farm. I form one with several people and good Lord what transpires.. I spend a little while on set up, what roles should be played, etc. we agree on one spot. One of the tanks decides to use tank stance on and off, pull far away from the party, blame healers when he dies.. etc. A complete mess. He had killed some of our dps/heals several times doing this. Other tank starts pulling in some random direction, not really doing anything efficiently, but whatever. At least he was bringing them to the party. Apparently when the party was criticizing or trying to help the first tank, this second tank thinks they are criticizing him. I just say lets drop it, "this spot isn't working out" and I say we move somewhere else. The first tank is continuing to argue with the party, but the second tank still thinks everyone is criticizing him. I say "jesus christ" in say, and I guess he took it as me criticizing him along with the party further, and left the party. I had been trying to stay out of it as party lead, I wasn't criticizing anyone. All I was saying prior was the spot wasn't "working out" and to move. It's insane to me.

This isn't the end of it.

I switch to tank, and pull a bit at this different location, but I notice our dps is a bit low, so I offer to switch to dps, and ask the first tank to take over when he gets there. He was already using an essence on his tank, and I wasn't. It was only logical for me to be the one to switch. Apparently, when I asked if he could take over if "I showed him the route", it was taken as me demeaning him - I guess. Because at this point, it looks like he starts to play dumb, and pulls EVERYTHING ELSE. Looks to be trying to wipe the party. I'd guess he was griefing us. At this point, I told the others that were left "I'm done" and just quit out of the instance.

This is what I am talking about with people and this game. This is far from irregular. My God. Unbelievable.

Here we go I see what happened. I just read the chat logs. I had been ignoring the arguing in the chat. The second tank said he had only pulled in a specific zone - I did see him say that and wanted him to go where he was comfortable. The first tank looked to be trying to farm in a whole different way than anyone else in the party was used to, got mad at us, got mad at me for having the party move somewhere else. That looks to be the case. Wow.

Also, the way to cluster farm is having a tank with that leech essence (I don't remember the name but that tank will not need heals at all) and everyone going nuts with AoE while using Spellforge and Bravery. And if you split the party in two (or three if a group of two can handle AoE farming) different areas even better.

Reason I say this is because youre trying to compensate so much. You can only fill so many other people's cups until your own cup runeth over.
I get annoyed by people, but I still like the game. I don't let some person ruin my experience to the extent I would stop playing the game entirely. I'll just move on afterwards. I'll be back in there presently trying to find another farm. I need gil for my glamours. I do not craft, this is one of the best ways for me to make several million a day! Maybe I'll be able to afford a house one day! Whether or not I will actually be able to find a house to buy, that's another story.

That person last night did not want to farm like this, they had a "new way", nobody in the party knew what he was talking about, the other tank didn't know what the first one was demanding, and the result was this tank seemingly griefing our players, and causing many deaths. The party was not happy with this, I left when I realized what was going on - the party was in shambles.

I know you should have bloodsucker essence on tanks. Not every tank is going to have bloodsucker though, and people shouldn't expect bloodsucker to automatically mean they don't need heals. For that matter, you cannot go into Borzja and just expect random tanks to have this essence. You adjust the party for what you get. I am not the type to leave people out, because they do not have a certain essence or aren't comfortable playing a certain class. I can fill whatever role that is needed. I accept any level into my farms, and I will personally move down to zone 1 so they can farm too.

There are many different ways to farm, one is splitting multiple zones. However, there are many factors involved. I can account for player habits, and I know exactly what goes down. For example, you try to have someone tank zone 2, with 1 tank (no bloodsucker), 1 heal, 1 dps. Unless they are a tank that knows what they are doing, and or there is a healer that is actually paying attention, the tank will be dying constantly. EVEN when there are 4 people there the tank can be dying constantly. I have had to micromanage pug tanks, and if they want, I show them routes, or how to safely farm. Sometimes I tank instead (w/o essence - I have used it all), so that everyone is comfortable, and nobody else is dying. No, I do not call anyone out if they cannot handle certain areas. There are enough alternative locations, that everyone can farm easily, and happily. Optimally, we never get into a situation where anyone is ever dying. If one area doesn't work out, we move on.
