What I enjoy here, I enjoy a lot. I wish there was more of it. Is that so bad? If anything I'd think it was a compliment towards SE. I don't want to play another game, I want to want to play this game more.

If you only play through all content once, it doesn't last long. But there's lots of things to grind. I could level up the remaining five-ish classes, finish resistance weapons, finish skysung tools, finish my crafting logs, go through Eureka, collect some more mounts and minions, etc. Not to mention all the achievements, some of which are just incredibly grindy.
I always love that argument because it completely ignores how staggered content, housing and the general slow progression is purposely designed to discourage breaks. Not to mention, Yoshida never said "unsub" when telling people to play other games or take breaks.

It would be great if Squeenix would focus their attention more on the main aspects of their MMO (combat, dungeons/trials and pvp) rather than creating waves of sidecontent.
Don't get me wrong on this, it is nice to have things like the ishgard restoration or Fishing Tours with the Endeavour, but with the mere amount of sidecontent that we're getting plus the constant dumbing down of Job's is making me think slowly that FFXIV wants to be Second Life 2.0
Sadly there is no pressure on FFXIV ; the MMO market is nearly dead. The only competition is from Korea but they hardly get published outside (and if they do, they rarely do well or live long)
And even if there was a competitor, FFXIV can live on the brand and its fangroupies (some faint when Yoshda lifts a finger), like it has done for 7 years already. If there was some pressure, maybe we'd have been spared the lot of uninspired or botched content.

they don't release everything right away on patch day because:
1. not everything is ready to go that's been planned for the whole patch on day 1
2. releasing everything at once splits the playerbase too much
3. people that can gorge themselves on the content will and burn out the things to do and then complain that there isn't enough to do.
it's basically a no win situation.
You should expect Expac news and FF16 news and that's it.
Cause ... that's what they said they're gonna talk about.
They have outright said they hold back finished content to not "overwhelming the playerbase." Additionally, you can argue the opposite. That by delaying content the way they do, it motivates people less because the content they enjoy won't be released for months and/or what they do release simply can't sustain interest long enough. Content longevity has been a near constant complaint with FFXIV.they don't release everything right away on patch day because:

Your posts are very negative and I don’t think you’re a troll. Seems more like you enjoyed the game once and don’t anymore.
In such cases I think it’s time to just move on rather than hinge all your hopes that they are drastically going to change something that is almost the same every cycle and that is proven to commercially work.
The announcement will be the new expansion. And it will be met with applause and people will love it. Yours will be a negative voice in a crowd of people who just don’t want to hear it. So perhaps it’s time to find a game where you can be one of the happy ones? There’s no shame in just saying you’ve outgrown it and walking away.
If we all felt like you then yeah I’d have a point. But no, most people want more of the same.
