It’s 2021 now and we still do not have Race Restrictions REMOVED from Hempen Clothes

For those of you who are new and don’t understand what I’m talking about, there are race restrictions on all Hempen clothing in ffxiv. Hempen camise and Pantalettes all have different designs based on your race in game. Many people wished for that to be removed so for example, Miqote can wear Hyur Hempen clothing.

This has been highly requested for years, and has gone unanswered for a very long time. It’s unclear whether the dev team is working on this in 6.0 or if they decided to abandon the idea all together....

Judging by the recent Mogstation outfits, I assume their side focus is on glamour now, so what gives? (The lewd open buttoned shirt and the school girl outfit)

I'm of the mind that we need more race specific gear, not less. Trust me, Miqo and Au Ra in particular both have hempen pieces I would love to have for my character, but I would much rather have them work on entirely new sets instead.

That being said, you won't hear any gripes from me about restriction removal from just these particular sets of gear as they are just glamour items.

Meanwhile, Viera and Hrothgar got nothing at all since their release and are far worse off than the other playable races with just about everything. But you know, priorities. Sadly, I could see them addressing this before Viera and Hrothgar get anything at all.

Except, you know, Viera and Hyur already share the same Hempen set now. So there goes that argument. At least as it pertains to the Hempen set. Frankly, I'd rather have more options than be restricted, especially since the devs have a notoriously bad habit of sticking to one particular design that only works for one aesthetic preference and no other. Just ask the Physical Range how they feel regarding their various sets this expansion.

Pretty much this, yeah. I would agree with Valk if Viera didn’t share the same set as Hyur but they do for some reason. I just...don’t understand Square Enix’s decisions at this point.

I'd like to use the miqo'te top for some glams, and I don't want to play miqo'te. I think it's a pretty perfect neutral, it would look good on au ra.

They can just unlock the hempen stuff then, and give us new race specific stuff.

They just have to make sure it's either very specific to that race and wouldn't make sense on any other race, or incredibly ugly so that nobody cares if it gets added for other races.

Otherwise we'd just end up with topics like this for that gear too.

There is no way in heck they are going to make whole new race specific sets for each race. They don't even have the resources to do miqo'te ears anymore!
