Please fire whoever hired the voice actor for Ga Bu and the Ga Bu voice actor

The voices for kobolds were bad. It was so out of place that I would have preferred mute cutscenes.
Kobolds are not meant to sound so much human.

Myeah, not a huge fan of Ga Bu's voice direction (in English and Japanese). In both languages they just sound like generic human child. A tad off putting.
Unsure how Ga Bu sounds in French and German, but I fully expect the direction to be the same: "just sound like a kid."

What were you expecting them to sound like? They are sentient and intelligent. Did you want them to bark like dogs or something? Ga bu is a child so he sounds like a child.

It reminded me of those old pbs shows where they'd read Peter Rabbit and the gal would ever so slightly change her voice when doing Peter's dialogue. Thought it was a rather weird choice for the kobolds, especially with how slowed and mellow it was compared to their skitterish and screechy nature.

I can't understand Japanese. Also, Japanese voice acting is so over the top that it is distracting.

They put emotion on it. Nothing wrong with that imo.

I'm generally happy with the English voice acting overall, though I do think that the Beast Tribes should sound more monstrous and unnerving. I think they tried a little too hard to try and make Ga Bu 'cute' to the point where it just seems uncanny.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. Haha
I didn't like the voice but the Japanese ones are just awful for my ears. I don't understand it, I have to watch the lower part of the screen constantly and especially the squealing voices (usually female) are more than just a little grating. I'm glad we have options. lol

I would say voice acting in this game is mediocre as a whole, so I like that 90% of the game has no voices.

I don't personally enjoy JP voice overs. I am sure they are great at what they do but I don't understand the language so there is no connection. I did find the kobold voice over for Ga Bu to be a bit jarring. It just didn't really sound very good to me. I also thought Cid sounded like he was being voiced by someone entirely different. I don't know if this is true or not but I didn't enjoy the change at all.
