if that was true Ranged would have gotten more adjustments
a lot of classes have to wait not just healers
and lets be real Monk and Ninja have needed some adjustments for ages
Probably also worth mentioning is how much of a massive nerf this is to SCH in level 70 Ultimates, which they apparently just kinda forgot about. Broil II and Bio had no changes to their potency and since you only gain access to Broil III and Biolysis at level 72 you're now stuck with a -50 potency nerf to Energy Drain and nothing to balance this.
This also applies to all content you do while leveling SCH before level 72.
I have high enough ping that ruin II made the cut (albeit barely). It's just sad the state we're in.

Yep. This was 100% my first thought as well.Probably also worth mentioning is how much of a massive nerf this is to SCH in level 70 Ultimates, which they apparently just kinda forgot about. Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
I wouldn't mind them getting rid of ED, but they really need to figure something else out. Get rid of ED but have it so everytime you spend a aetherflow on a heal it buffs up your next Ruin II or changes it to a better version of Ruin like Smn, I dunno, something like that...
Press Aetherflow > Gives charges > Now I can use Lustrate, Indomitability and Excog to heal.> I don't have to use GCDs to heal > There isn't healing required, fairy sustain and abilities keep people healthy > Broil Spam > Aetherflow is comming off cooldown > I could always use the MP but I don't really need the charges.
Don't know if you're joking but this is literally how SCH played at 5.0 when they took Energy Drain away.Press Aetherflow > Gives charges > Now I can use Lustrate, Indomitability and Excog to heal.> I don't have to use GCDs to heal > There isn't healing required, fairy sustain and abilities keep people healthy > Broil Spam > Aetherflow is comming off cooldown > I could always use the MP but I don't really need the charges.
Not enough damage to warrant 3 charges of Aetherflow healing. No decent dump to get rid of them.

UCOB got cleared by 8 tanks.Probably also worth mentioning is how much of a massive nerf this is to SCH in level 70 Ultimates, which they apparently just kinda forgot about. I think Scholar's gonna be fine there.
I was joking yeah. In order to maintain a proper MP management SCH should be using Aetherflow on CD. Problem is, without spending charges on Energy Drain for damage (Or extra MP) , you can only watch your AF sit there in your bar waiting to be wasted. Aetherflow management really exposes a problem with the healer gameplay.
Healing is not always needed, but you could always use more damage.
They should have given AF stacks the SMN treatment. You use Energy Drain and gain three stacks of AF. 1 minute CD.I wouldn't mind them getting rid of ED, but they really need to figure something else out. Get rid of ED but have it so everytime you spend a aetherflow on a heal it buffs up your next Ruin II or changes it to a better version of Ruin like Smn, I dunno, something like that...
As for an AF dump, how about a Skill that boosts the next Damage or Healing GCD you cast? Nothing too big, maybe a 5% potency increase. If the problem is they don't want people to use AF to do damage, but healing isn't always necessary, then make a skill that does both based on what the SCH needs most at the moment.
