Honestly I feel like a large amount of the demand for houses is simply because they are limited and that if they were made an unlimited resource there would actually be less people using them.

Isn't he a WoW streamer? He'd either be like "what's housing?" or "you mean garrisons?".
You use the term status symbol as if it's a good thing. So you are basically evil. But you're a troll so what else is new?

He'll continue being being the biggest streamer...from WoW. Win/Win
Coming from ten plus years in WoW...disruptive is the kindest word to describe him and some of his "fans" especially when he doesn't get what he wants. Now...as not to hijack the thread, back to the topic at hand.
No to limited housing.

Yep. The demand is a huge element of the appeal.
Personally, I don't mind "aspirational" features in MMOs. I like seeing things that are inaccessible to me. It makes the world a little more grand.
Great outlook!!! Unlike the gate keepers who think everything should be handed to them in a kindergarten vacuum, way to go!

Still have yet to hear a good reason for not having limited housing. Do we really want dead neighborhoods?

There will be no neighborhoods with instanced housing. And they are already dead anyway. I was able to grab a house last patch and yesterday was the very first time I saw one of my neighbors. He was ERPing in his garden and I have seen everything from my treehouse.
