Regarding Dabog, doesn't he 'awaken' after we beat his skirmish in the Alermuc Climb? I know nothing was said about it, but I thought he regained agency enough there for him to return to the Resistance...

I keep seeing Dabog around, just like, standing there, no Skirmish in sight, and then he disappears shortly after. Guy seems so forlorn.

We are masters of our jobs, why would we not be able to do that? Heck we dont even need the head...just shot her straight in the body maybe a few times..it did after all take her out at the end.

(Because FF14 is so realistic x)...the same game that allowed Gosetsu to be shot in the body by multiple bullets and survive the collaps of the building...or the game where you can summon meteors from the sky out of nowhere as a BLM..this game is far away from reality so why should attacks be, especially if you can shot someone in the head even in real life, especially since she stood there and was not just moving really fast...)

He seems to have an addiction to his "medication" from his commentary near Olana's Stand (he appears just outside there at the final sandbags during the item collection event). Said medication is what seems to trance him into following orders. I'm hoping after Murder, Death, Kill he was picked up by the Resistance, but we won't know until the next update for the Resistance quests.

    From his Field Record,
guy was a soldier in the Resistance until he was captured 2 years ago. Kept trying to escape, only for one such attempt to have him falling from the Castrum wall and completely shattering his spine. Less than a week left to live as said by the doctors, one Sicinius mal Vellutus proceeded to "save his life" by performing an experiment that turned him into a magitek soldier, and gave him Resonant (or at least it seems like it). This allows him to pilot the mechs that require superhuman reflexes on the level of the echo. But the medication he takes for this robs him of his memories. So he isn't entirely aware of his past life or his allegiences. Guy probably doesn't even remember his own family.

I want to save him, I don't want a Mobile Suit Gundam cliche with Cyber Newtypes to come in full. The cliche being, if you're a Cyber Newtype, you're probably going to die.

Was a Gunbreaker here for this quest. I have a Gunsword (can shoot out condensed lighting aether), Heart of Stone (which creates a barrier around my target), and Aurora (places a decent heal over time over my target). Not to mention my gap closer (which is faster than anyone can react to).

All it would have taken was a split second and done. Grand plan foiled, have a new prisoner to pump for information, and the Blades saved.

So yes, I agree with all of this.

Just my opinion. Won't lose sleep if you don't like it.

Once again, as has been clarified many times in this thread, Mikoto's safety was our concern, not wrecking the enemy. Plus the sword at her throat is a relic of ancient Bozja that can summon a primal--which for anyone who doesn't have the echo is an immediate death sentence. People seem to forget on this forum that we are a hero not a violent warmonger.

It's a sad day when so many people in their hunt to be cool, or be more life like, or more powerful will disregard npc's who, from a role play and lore stand point, are our friends. Is it so hard to comprehend that the WOL hesitates to save Mikoto's life!?!

Hate to put it this way but, you aren't my WoL. You can hesitate, you can fear for a friends life. I would actually prefer not to lose another one if it were in my power to do so. It most definitely was.

Sorry not sorry. Look at what happened because of our scripted ineptitude. Can you honestly say it was the right choice?

I'd rather have done something other than what we did do by standing there. You hesitate, people die or worse. We got the worse.

"To ignore the plight of those one might conceivably save is not wisdom - it is indolence. We must all protect that which we hold dear in the manner of our own choosing..." - Louisoix Leveilleur, a good friend my WoL actually met. He didn't hesitate either.

The main gripe people have is that she wasn't in immediate danger anymore when Misija kicked her away then nobody bothered trying capitalize on it, plus she actually ends up taking a hit from her anyways but is no worse for wear not long after which makes the whole thing feel even more silly.

There was a whole regiment of martial/magical prodigies aside from us who did nothing when logically, they'd be scrutinizing the offender and waiting for the slightest opening to secure the hostage.
