I completely respect your take on this. I do think that being diligent about reporting verbally abusive players is always the right thing to do, as it is a tremendous benefit to the entire FF14 community. The abusive player will be less likely to level abuse at other players in the future knowing that they already have a strike in their account. And if they continue to do so, SE will see that they already have a strike and can move on to more severe punishments such as suspending their account permanently. So while I do respect your opinion, I still think it helps everyone when we report all offending players.

Imagine being toxic and lazy when you literally need to press one button to take some extra mobs.

Tanking is the easiest it's ever been. There's no excuse to avoid doing your job in a dungeon all because you want to 'teach someone a lesson'. Grow up, this isn't high school.

I might be petty for this but I just yeeted myself out a dungeon because I didn't want to fight with an astro on how they were using their cards. I noticed they were throwing all the DPS cards o nthe tank. Here's the rub tho. I was in 2nd place on the hate meter. I KNOW it's not a good judge of DPS but I'm on PS4 man. And I was doing what I normally do. AOEing the groups and using ALL my tools and trade on sam, not getting hit on mechs and always pressing my cooldowns since Sam has a few. But no cards ever. I could've said something but I'm not trying to fight with some one on the game and I just left. It's play like that that makes me want to not do all I can but that's stupid. Cause if I stop doing my rotation and CDs then I'm no better then them but it really pisses me off... so thats why I just yeeted myself out the dungeon and am taking the 30 min jail time to buy a fanta. Am I wrong? Should I have said something?

Erm ... saying something could start an argument so I personally wouldn't. Generally I try and do decent DPS in dungeons because it lets me get out faster as well. In this case the AST wasn't playing optimally but they weren't being obstructive and the amount of time it would have added to the run would have been inconsequential. Maybe just have netflix or something on the mobile next to you and just get it out of the way

I think this is quite hyperbolic. The idea that a non-tank pulling can be "disastrous" is kind of silly. The absolute worst case scenario is that you happen to wipe, setting you back a minute or two. It's unlikely if you know what you're doing, though.

In the end getting mad at a dps for pulling enemies just means you're getting mad at someone for attempting to make the run a bit quicker. That doesn't make any sense to me it's akin to those cringe people who get mad at healers for dpsing.

I've cleared all the bosses he mentioned just fine and I don't ever tank dungeons because yes, I have an issue that dps pulling ahead without communication is acceptable behavior.

I do believe I'm superior to someone who has issues with a dps pulling enemies in a dungeon. That doesn't matter and it's a complaint I've only ever seen from people who don't play the game very well. For all I know you're the one random exception to that rule but in reality if it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck... it's probably a duck. I see no need to believe otherwise.

Also, I don't "tolerate herding children" because that's not what we're talking about here. Herding children would be more akin to enabling power tripping behavior like kicking people for what amounts to minor nuisance behavior at worst.

I'm not the one being or tolerating childish behavior here.

All you do is talk. I've invited you multiple times to log in with me. Let's see how great you are. What are you afraid of? I am once again inviting you to run any savage or ultimate with me. What do you say? Or would you prefer to hide in the forums and insult people.

If only I had the time or cared enough about you/your opinion of me/this exchange. I'm glad you have ample time to waste on something this petty but I'd likely not ever bother with this beyond the few minutes, usually during work downtime, that I get to keep poking the bear here.

Also an extra lul at the idea of just logging in and "running an Ultumate" with someone as if it's an undertaking similar to a roulette or something. Way to reinforce my opinion of your understanding here!

To be fair, literally yesterday evening someone decided to randomly queue the group I was in into UCoB rather than doggo farming. (Everyone was so used to blindly clicking “Accept” on the duty pop after multiple runs of Shinryu and Suzaku that no one bothered to read it to see we’d been queue into something different.)

He was trolling (it was a group of friends, not PF), but once we were in we decided “okay, why not try at least a pull or three? It will go badly, but it could be fun to see what sort of train wreck this will be.”

Spoiler: it did in fact go badly.

As only one person in the group has ever progged UCoB, and five of us had never even queued into the duty, it ended about as well as you’d expect: with Twintania gloating over a field of incinerated corpses scattered about between twisters.

But it goes to show, you demonstrably can queue in as casually as if you were doing a roulette! Clearing it as casually is another matter entirely.

(Weirdly, the sheer chaos and unforgiving nature of those opening attacks actually made me want to try running it for real...)

You seem to have plenty of time to waste on the forums. Your post count is a lot higher than mine. Check your history. And once again you talk but hide when I invite you to do savage or ultimate. Don't worry about doing ultimate, my group is more than happy to have you sub in, any job. Just say the word, or keep making excuses. I noticed you aren't on fflogs as well, did you hide your logs for some reason? I mean, you wouldn't want people to think that you just enjoy staying in the safety of the forums to insult people while hiding from us in the game? In fact, the next time you log into the game send me a message and I'll join you.

Honestly, living liquid will be tough to pug but I've pugged UWU and gotten to suppression, and UCOB Twintania phase is a joke. Nael as long as the group settles on the divebomb strategy, it's not hard to pug it as long as people are familiar with the fight. Bahamut Prime the strats are very similar across the board so once you get there, it's not too hard. Ucob might be the most pug friendly of the 3 ultimates. But Veis is just ducking me. She started attacking me for no reason at all, responding to every single one of my posts, and when I invited her to join me in game she comes up with every excuse in the world to not join. It is what it is. Some people just like to stay here in the forums and insult other I guess.

That's great you feel you are superior. I applaud that confidence. Once again I will kindly invite you to log in and play with me. I have 3 alts and can easily transfer to whichever data center/world you are most comfortable in. My 3 toons are Seddrinth Xerrak@ Midgard, Absdihfskv Dijsijsdsl@Adamantoise, and Siren Housing-Alt@ Sargatanas. I can transfer one toon to your homeworld, just let me know when you want to play and which server. If you are on Aether my ultimate group will let you sub in so we can see your "superior" skills in any Ultimate fight of your choosing. If I have to transfer to your world then obviously I can't magically conjure an ultimate group. but I will be happy to pugg Eden Verse with you, any of the 4 fights. So let's stop the forum insults and meet up in game and have a great time, maybe even become friends, and you get to show me your skills. What do you say? I can even stream our raid session together so people can watch, if you want.
