Bozjan southern front tanking issue

Good morning,

This is my first post on the forums so please forgive me if this was answered elsewhere. I am a veteran player of dark knight, which is my main class, my load out is 490ilvl on it. I was in the bozjan front the other day. Trying it out with my wife, who is a lvl80 white mage which is also geared in 490ilvl gear. We ran into an issue in skirmishes where I would be holding a group of mobs, my health is full with darkness knight up as a buffer. As its part of my usual rotation when its just her and myself. When out of nowhere I was one shotted. Which took her and I by surprise as there was no indication anything like that coming.

So after rezing me we finished that on off and moved to another. This time I have darkness night and she have put her bubble on me as we. But same thing. No indication of a tank breaker. No orange your standing in stupid. Nothing. Just one shotted. So I ask my FC and they had seen other tanks getting destroyed like I did. So my question is. Is there a mechanic I am missing? I feel like the front is broken as I have never been taken out in one hit by anything while I have been talking at lvl80. Like the tank busters in puppet factory don't even hit that hard and only take a tank out if your unlucky with having another tank stack on you during it.

Thank you for your time reading. Maybe I am missing something but I feel the bozjan front has a bug and I will be avoiding it till its fixed or till whatever I'm missing is explained to me.

What mobs were you fighting? Some of the higher ranked enemies hit really hard.

Take note of the rank of the enemies you're engaging.
Rank 1-2 should be easy to hold several as a single tank.
Rank 3-4, you probably want to be in a full party, or just take them a couple at a time.
Rank 5, you will need additional mitigation regardless of how many people you have, Reflect, Manawall, Potion Kits, etc.

I can't remember the specific skirmishes beyond the one in the first area with the Garula. I had her topped off and went to give a swiftcast raise to a DPS that had got flattened, looked back, and she was on the ground.

I wish I could recall the other two specific skirmishes. This wasn't my first time in there, but I've never tanked in BSF and this was her first time in the battle area of the zone.

Yo some mobs esp rank 4 and rank 5's will DESTROY you if you're not careful, and if you ever see a star rank mob dont bother unless you know someone around has Death available.

I was still in the first zone, as I am still only merit rank 2, and the enemies where not all that bad. At first. Like they where hurting me, sure. But it wasn't anything im not used to as a tank. It was just the sudden nuke form orbit I get nailed with.

Nah man, you havent seen a nuke from orbit yet. Wait till you get invited to Red Choctober after you get a few more ranks.
On second thought, if you were in a skirmish, perhaps you ran into my absolute favorite villian NPC who i lovingly call "Chaos Blackmage" That dude throws aoes like he doesnt give a f about anything. Love the nonchalant kaioken floating escape he does after beating him too. 10/10 best villian in game.

Rank V mobs auto for around 50K on tanks.

Star mobs hit for 70K+ and are better off just being instakilled with death.

yea there are some mobs that can kill you with a one shot or 2 hits usually like those rank 5 guys. Those guys will flat out murder you.
