For those of you who have leveled everything.

How did you not burn out terribly? Especally with class types you just don't like? I just have a goal of having a fully leveled char. I leveled paladin, warrior, white mage, scholar, summoner to 50. As we all know the arr levels are just a slog. I am currently on black mage. Soon I will be doing monk, archer (Worst class in the game, I hate it so so much.) rogue, and lancer. It takes fifty years to get in a dungeon, and path is not much better.

Besides dancer I dislike playing dps. I want the fully leveled char just to finally have it sience I have been playing sience 2.0, but the burnout is getting real.

I love going through dungeons to work on desynth, as well as getting extra materia while doing so. Got some friends who need help with stuff as well and I'm always willing to join 'em on any role they might need. There's also music rolls in dungeons I need still as well.

Gathering is SUPER simple to level up now with levequests/those green thingies you use to get a lot of bonus EXP up to a certain total.

Crafting I basically never touch until the beast tribe for it comes out. Only reason I level them up is so the next expansion I can repair my own gear whenever I need to.

MSQ / level roulette + beast tribes over a long period of time can work pretty easily. If you don't like playing a job normally you can also consider playing them in PvP where they will play a bit differently and the content style is different (and you can switch up your jobs while in the match so you don't even have to play the job you're going to give the pvp exp to lol). Deep dungeons are also a decent way to get a job moving quickly, especially for you to see if you'll enjoy the job later in it's life rather. If you max your squadron's offensive stats you can very quickly go through dungeons on your own and get awesome exp rate that way too (they're worth leveling up their ranks if you've a lot of jobs left to level). Certain dungeons the squadron AI will have a real hard time dealing with though, so people usually pick particular dungeons they found easy and repeatable with good exp and do those- like Sohm Al is a nice one to repeat.

Don't forget to use your exp boosting items where applicable, like if you have the earring that boosts exp, food that gives exp bonuses, FC buff or GC buffs (GC has scrolls for gathering and crafting particularly with big boosts). Log out in sanctuaries to collect rested exp bonus.

Alliance roulette can give some awesome exp too, but sometimes you'll get a group that can't make it past a certain step in some of the later raids and that can be a bummer lol. But like.. failing your MSQ roulette or leveling roulette should be impossible so I find them very casually reliable.

PvP exp isn't as crazy as it used to be but if you hate playing the job then it can be a great way to get that exp anyways lol, also you can unlock some nice glamours and mounts while doing it.

For gathering and crafting I found the beast tribes to be exceptionally easy, and I used leves when I needed to get to points where the beast tribes would accept my job. Don't forget to occasionally upgrade your gear, I like to level them all together so I can replace the gear all in big groups. Don't get too crazy on spending money since it'll be old news a few times over until you get to 80 (and even then you don't need to get fancy since with the new special skills you can easily craft most things- so long as you're not doing "current tier" crafting). I was already all capped at 80 before Ishgard restoration but I would highly recommend checking that out to see how it feels, I bet it has some awesome experience. You may also check Rowena's board and the GC board for turn ins, when they've the star next to them the reward can be very big (and if you turn them in HQ then you get double the exp, so turning in HQ star items is great exp). When I felt lazy I'd check the AH and see what the price was for the star items, if it was reasonable I'd just buy it and turn it in and if it was insane I'd figure if I could make it easily and then sell it too lol. They'll appear later but the exp on custom deliveries (NPCs you make relationships with as you turn stuff in, the exp is fairly nice, you get some decent reward currency, and the materials are reliable to obtain).

Leveled all mine to 80, through like all the methods that have existed in this game - can say the only one that made me question my sanity was the ARR FATE trains lol. Occasionally FATEs is not bad, FATEs for hours makes me wonder why I don't just pick up another game instead xD (I do like the ShB gem system, and I hope they expand it, and I do like to do an occasional fate as I run by, but never again do I want to be like "you know what'll be fun? 5 hours of FATEs, again and again, and again").

Make friends with someone who can queue as a healer to skip dps queues. If you dont have one handy, a few runs of potd, hoh, and soon bozja to get a level or two when you have time to sit and get comfy. Do your dailies, Prae is basically a free level if you get it and I think you can switch jobs in pvp too to get the exp for the one you want to level. Mix in some beast tribes for exp + beast currency. The SHB ones especially give out some good exp.

My least fav are melee jobs. I think monk was the last one i needed for my amaro, and I was lazy and was just going pixies + msq roulette by the end lol

Squadron bypasses queues and finish dungeons faster than the average DF group. Level 20-60, though it starts slowing down at 50. If you're feeling lazy or are busy, you can even order them to attack and then just do something else.

If I don't like a job and have no intention of playing it I just level it through pvp. It's not fast, but I can level a dps I don't like while playing healer or tank or a dps I do like in Frontline, which I happen to enjoy. Also not much of a queue, it ranges from instant to about 3 mins when active. It dies at night though.

I unsub when there's nothing to do.

Edit: realized the question is kinda different, but also you just end up leveling them if you've played for a long time and if you have a fc that likes doing roulettes together you will eventually lvl everything unless you pick your max level for everything.

I leveled most of my jobs together with my partner - one of us would pick a dps, the other a tank or healer (after each set done, we'd switch). So even if one of us disliked the particular job they were leveling, we were still doing it together with daily leveling roulettes, which made it barable.
For our most hated jobs - monk for me, dragoon for my partner - we just went for the slow pixie-grind on the side.

We also didnt rush it, which probably prevented the burn out - knowing that we had 2 years before the next expansion (and the next level increase) made it easy to take it slowly, but steadly. We're both done for a couple of weeks now.

So... not doing it alone and only in small doses (one leveling roulette per day, beast tribes and hunts) did the trick for me.

I levelled everything from 1-50 long before squadrons were a thing, so I just did the dungeon slog and FATE trains for the classes I didn't like. FATE trains back then were still popular so they helped quite a bit when I didn't want to do a dungeon but I definitely did dungeons far more than FATE trains. I'm not a huge fan of those. I also don't like playing melee so much, but not as much as I dislike tanking so I think I did FATEs more often as a tank. I'm happy to do content with other players as a melee so from 1-50 it was mostly dungeons. For crafters and gatherers I used leves. Nothing fancy there. None of the other jobs were a chore to level from 1-50. I took an extended break starting just before 2.3 hit so all of this was done in the first 2 patches.

I came back in Heavensward sometime during 3.3 or 3.35 and so from 51-60 I used squadrons for all my melee. I left tanks at level 50 except Paladin for mentor status I think. All other combat and gathering jobs were not a slog, although I did leave all my crafters at level 50. Crafting just bores me. It's strange because gathering doesn't, so I'm not even sure why. I think it has to do with having to deal with inventory management. I just start crafting and quickly lose interest in it. It's like that for every game, not just FFXIV. Anyway, I digress.

During Stormblood I left all the tanks at level 50 (60 Paladin), got DRG to 70 but left NIN/MNK/SAM at 60 (yup, didn't touch SAM besides unlocking it), and got crafters 2 more levels each to get them to level 52 and left them there, and just levelled everything else to 70 using primarily roulettes. Again, no slog for the jobs I did level to 70, although I took my time with melee.

Once Shadowbringer's Hit and Trusts became a thing I used those a lot for the jobs I didn't like. After levelling all DoM and ranged to 80 using daily roulettes, I started with getting all the melee to 80 using a combination of daily roulettes and trusts from 71-80. Once those were done I just had the tanks left and so used squadrons to get them all to 60. From 61-71 was the worst for me since there were no squadrons or trusts for them, so I had to force myself to doing roulettes with them. I took it quite slowly, only doing one tank at a time and not doing anything outside of the daily roulettes. A typical day would be leveling, trial and MSQ on a single tank with maybe an alliance roulette thrown in if I had the time and felt like doing it. Once I got them all to level 71 then I switched over to a combination of Trusts and running FATEs in Shadowbringer's zones to build up bicolour gem ranks. The Firmament finally allowed me to get all the crafters to 80 as well, since even though I still found it somewhat boring, that content is much quicker and more self contained and ties directly and simply into all the mats being gathered while leveling my DoL so it was relatively painless.

To illustrate just how little content with other players that I've done as a tank and how little I desire to... To this day with all jobs at level 80, I've only got 48 runs as a Paladin toward the first Paladin tanking achievement. And that's the tank with the most runs. That achievement just sits there at the top of my nearing completion list, but I don't really ever feel the urge to finish it even when seeing it there every day. Maybe some day I'll do those 2 runs. Today is not that day.

I don't understand /10char. However I forgot about your squad, they are all but maxxed out, but fail their second ranking mission every time. I started on a perfered world and leveled so fast I had three level 50 classes before I went into the 300 quest batch between arr and hw. So I would get one class to 50, immedately change to the next, level it to 50. Did it for the five classses. Class after class, day after day, arr over and over and over and.....

Time, there are plenty of downtime between patches even the .XX patches, I take it relatively slow, we just had far more than usual this expansion due to the obvious reason, so I have everything(barring 3 crafters) max level a patch ahead than I usually do.

Honestly the worse thing to level was Trusts, give me random people any day, yea they can be worse but 95%(relative for me) of the time the average player exceeds Trusts in dungeons.

If finding a job as horrible as possible switch it up until later, take breaks, use beast tribes, challenge log, roulettes you have plenty of time until next expansion where we do it all over again
