They've already confirmed Odin as a wandering primal to be added post version 2.0. From what they said he'll get stronger every time he's beaten and likewise the quality of treasure he drops will go up the harder he becomes.Odin (play /ˈoʊdɨn/; from Old Norse Óðinn) is a major god in Norse mythology and the ruler of Asgard.
My assumption is that he will be found somewhere in Ishard, considering the similarity of the names (ruler of Asgard).
He's on page 5 of the pdf on this page. titled "New FINAL FANTASY XIV Planned Content & Concept Art."

There are only 4 pages...They've already confirmed Odin as a wandering primal to be added post version 2.0. From what they said he'll get stronger every time he's beaten and likewise the quality of treasure he drops will go up the harder he becomes.
He's on page 5 of this.
Page 4: New Content: Below are the main content additions planned for after version 2.0. New content announcements will be
made via patch notes.
Primal Battles: New primal battles.
Primal Summoning System: Summoning system that awards the ability to summon primals to Free Companies that defeat them.
Dragon Battles of Ishgard: Campaign of battles against the dragon horde in the defense of Ishgard, with participation possible as any of the four Disciplines.
PvP Coliseum: Two forms of PvP, the Coliseum and the Frontlines, to be released sequentially.
PvP Frontlines/Crystal Tower: Large-scale instanced raids of the Crystal Tower and a vast labyrinth. Further expansions planned for future patches.
Wandering Odin: Wandering Odin primal, who grows in strength and drops greater treasures with each defeat.
Labyrinth: ???
Further details on all of the above to be released in the days leading up to version 2.0 release.

Sorry, I had the pdf directly linked, so I relinked it. It's on their outline of things to come. I have no idea where he'll wander at, but it sounds fun as hell.
You may also want to check this link out. If you scroll down they talk about how odin's lore in game a tad.
Odin was always one of my favorites. The only thing they keep messing up on is Odin's horse. Sleipnir is supposed to have 8 legs not 4. Final fantasy 7 is the only one I remember giving it more than 4 but they only gave him 6. Eh, sorry I'm a mythology nerd.

To be honest, I think Final Fantasy had more of an impact on my interest in Mythology, Religion, and Ancient Civilizations than all of my schooling put together, considering 90% of their character names are drawn from these. I even engraved the name Odin into a 4' tall walking stick I made as part of the Boy Scouts of America when I was 12 years old, thanks to Final Fantasy.Sorry, I had the pdf directly linked, so I relinked it. Edit:Would be interesting if SE adds something along the lines of "Naruto Cursed Seal" that transforms any character into this demi-human (i'm thinking about Papalymo and crew whom all have a Tatoo visible in the cutscenes that mark them as different from the rest).Originally Posted by Yoshida
This is something planned further down the road, but we plan on adding a new type of demi-human player character in a post-2.0 expansion. We are still in the development phase, so I cannot provide you with any concrete details, but we’ll let you know more about this new race as we get closer to implementation.
Very Interesting... I wonder what makes Odin different than the others?Originally Posted by Yoshida
The title “elder primal,” was meant to signify that Odin is a primal from an earlier era. The primals in FFXIV represent powerful deities worshipped by the beast tribes. These deities can be summoned by the tribes, and appear to be drawn to the intense emotions, such as pain and suffering, of their followers. Odin is classified as a primal, but his background is very different from that of the others. I can say that Odin’s background will be revealed exactly at the release 2.0, but I hope to have information for you all soon.

Knights of the Round
Knights of the Round summon is the pinnacle of summons. 13 gigantic knights going berserk on the toughest of bosses. The other reason is because it reminds gamers of Final Fantasy VII, where this summon was last seen. It’s about time we bring the Knights into this generation.
Knights of the Round (Ultimate End)
This could be an elder primal, or the primal boss that guards the crystal tower or what not. I just think it would be so epic to have them back. Please Yoshi-P, don't let Knights of the Round be forgotten, bring it back to life.
