Just gonna leave this here:
Everything else is bad enough that I don't care to differentiate between them, though newer dungeons are generally less boring than older ones.
Its show time
The best dungeons are the ones where all roles matter and go beyond the wall-to-wall mundane spam that everyone is oddly ok with for 3 expansions straight. Just gonna name my least favorites and favorites ignoring the main 3 starter dungeons starting with ARR
Favorite: Aurum Vale- designed well hazards everywhere, dangerous area wide mobs and caustic boss fights. sadly it isnt 50s and sadly it got nerfed so 2nd boss is a bore now.
least:Stone Vigil Hard- funny 50s had a amazing selection but i find this one the worst its just a sluggish experience.
HW Favorite: The Vault- FILTHY RATS yea its ur standard affair of wall-to-wall but its juust fun enough to pass
HW least: Neverreap- jesus i dont remeber a dam thing about this dungeon HW selection was meh nothing too stellar or awful
Sb Favorite:The Burn- wanted to give it to ghimlyt buut the burn clutched it with its aliments and fun as hell final boss (remember poison? and freezburn?)
Sb least: Temple of Fist- this was difficult Sb had better dungeons but Temple is just the least inspired sadly
ShB Favorite: Amaurot- duh climactic, bosses are fun, wild hazards and of course the music and scenery....which is killed by that godawful subboss music
ShB least: Holminister switch- had more options despite the expansion not being finished, should it be the Wells bland ass dungeon so forgetful I dont even remember half the mechs? or Cosmos and anyder for being the most bare bones dungoens imaginable? I swear Sunken temple had more mechs....but its second to the worst one Holminster! Ignoring the bosses for a second and the dungeon is a sleeping pill its the most standard dungone in a game where we have had better ones in the past. Sirensong and Dusk vigil piss all over this flat grey walkway we calling a dungoen

Where is the ambition?
I fxxking hate Amaurot. Music was boring and it's just aoe spam with camera shake all run. I'd take Holminister a 100 times over Amaurot anyday.. and Hol is the first freaking dungeon in shadows. The best one in my opinion is Temple of the fist, Mt Glug. Now THATS a dungeon. I freaking love how it looks and sounds. The bosses are meh, but it's the dungeon itself I like. Twinning is up there too only because Alex looks like an Eggman and Megaman boss.
ARR leveling dungeon - Tha Aurm Vale: Highiy disappointed in giving Coincounter telegraphs. Despite this, it remains my favorite because it requires thought, offers a crap ton of exp, and I love telling tanks to pull smart; not left.
ARR 50 dungeon - Keeper of the Lake: Midgarsormr. Old voice actor. 'Nuff said
HW leveling dungeon - The Aery: The music, the purple aura, one seriously pissed off dragon of the first brood; one seriously pissed off Azure Dragoon. Of course this dungeon was going to be epic.
HW 60 dungeon - Sohm Al HM: High tempo, faced based dungeons that encourages tanks to pull the shizz out of everything. Yes please!
SB leveling dungeon - Shishui of the Violet Tides: The weeb in me can't help but love this dungeon. If only it rained during this encounter. It would be a contender to win the overall
SB 70 dungeon - Hell's Lid: The dungeon to kick off one of the best side stories in the game. Plus fire! I am drawn to it like a moth to flame.
ShB leveling dungeon - Mt. Gulg: Even though you can be max level here, it is still technically a leveling dungeon, and one I never mind getting in my roulettes. It's just a ton of fun.
ShB 80 dungeon - Anamnesis Anyder: What else can I say? It's a whale of a dungeon!
Overall winner: "Thou has forgotten the face of thy lord. Remember mortal, and fear me."
Aurum Vale before they made coincounter just another generic easy mode boss.
Heroes Gauntlet has been the only dungeon that I liked, it's really good.
N I G H T M A R E
I dont understand the hype over twining wasnt aware good music automatically made a stellar dungeon. Mute it and its just like every generic dungeon.

Where is the ambition?
Its also the closest thing we have to Sycrus Tower (Hard) if it helps, especially considering that Raids never got that kind of remixing and that the trend ended with Stormblood.
