Disappointed that private individuals can purchase housing plots in 5.35

Enough to buy a small house perhaps, but not a medium or large.

You seem to have at tendency to whine about things that you know little about. First the dungeon speed now this. So I have zero crafting and gathering, and don't play much outside of raiding, and I have easily 170 miilion gil on my toons combined. That's enough to buy a medium or large.

Here's my take on this. I think it's also a bad decision. FC's should always get first pick over private. However, only FC's that have a certain # of players (Active) should be able to get these houses. Not FC's that only have 3 players that has just been made the night before so they can snag a plot.

And they should still make them separate. Increase wards but make it to where like wards 1-40 are only FC housing and 41-80 are private housing. Also they need to limit private housing purchasing to 1 house per account so people don't have like 5 houses.

Lastly, i think they need to change their housing game. FC houses i think should be a different style/floorplan than the other houses. I also think they should be 0.5x bigger than the normal houses. For instance if housing size is categorized as small(1), medium(2), mansion(3) - than FC housing should be (1.5)(3)(4.5) respectively. I just think FC houses should offer more and be a little bigger than normal housing. I would like FC housing to be the main point of hanging out. I rarely see people hanging out at their FC house.

There's a reason why individuals were left out in the past. Mark my words, everyone who's excited about housing open to individuals again will be back in this very forum complaining after 5.35 hits. And those who weren't excited will definitely be back.

Not really. When my fc moved the 3 of us from Mateus to jenova, it took us.... About 5 minutes to go from rank 1 to rank 6 lol.

Honestly? It's gonna be a bloodbath regardless of what SE does. Some people will get lucky; others won't. Those who get lucky are allowed to celebrate and those who weren't as lucky have the right be feel bitter and frustrated. I do get why FCs get prioritized over individuals, but that's not totally fair either. There are people with no FCs (and don't wanna join one); there are people who enjoy decorating houses and are pretty talented at it (many designs are mind-blowing); there are people who just want a place to call their own in Eorzea. Like people have said previously, sometimes FC housing/workshop privileges are given only to a small group of individuals. The FC rooms argument can be countered by the existence of apartments (dunno if they both cost the same). And let's not forget players who make FCs just to bypass the restriction. Moreover, there's just no limit or end to the number of FCs out there. There's no way in hell all of them will get houses. If we tried to do that, there might never be any houses left for individuals. And even then, there's still no guarantee that all existing FCs will have houses.

Bottom line, I personally think that everyone having equal chances isn't a bad thing. I suggested in another thread the possibility to exclude a certain category each time new wards are released. So one time we exclude relocation, next time purchasing, and why not next time FCs.

Being on a low population world I might have a chance to score me a house. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone buys a house and goes right into the PF and tries to sell it immediately for Gil. It really wouldn’t surprise me.
