How are you supposed to earn something when almost nobody queues for this stuff? Frontline mounts are a complete crapshoot, most people just suicide charge the other side with no coordination so it ends as quickly as possible, and you can go for over an hour queued for the feast and not get a match.
That shows you a more fundamental problem, PvP just isn't fun. The only reason most people play this snoozefest, with barely any depth to it, in the first place is because SE puts glamour behind Wolf Marks. How are you supposed to earn something when almost nobody queues for this stuff? For once I have to agree with MPK. The current design of XIV's pvp is supposed to be fast paced with a very limited set of abilities. Quite frankly this doesn't work, you just can't make clutch plays when everything is so utterly dependent on server ticks. I'm pretty sure anyone that healed in pvp has already experienced the great feeling of throwing instant heals on a target and it still dying because the servers took too long to register the healing.
Or trying to interrupt/stun a heal and it going through anyway because the servers took too long to register the interrupt.

Fact is those of us that didn't do it (or couldn't) won't get them by the sounds of things. I mean, I'm ok with some sort of re release or some alternative method tied to the original content but I am dead set against being able to purchase them with irl cash or in game currency. Any method to obtain these items should match the original in skill or effort so as not to devalue the original achievement. That's just my opinion and I'm fine with anyone who disagrees.
Don't touch me there

Honestly I think they should scrap the whole thing and either do a complete rethink on it and re release, or allocate those resources to other parts of the game. I'm biased as I have no real interest in PvP in general (That could change with a decent system) but I groan every time patch notes come out and I see how much time and effort is wasted (imo) on PvP when there's major glaring issues in the core game

I honestly wouldn't mind it either. I do it begrudgingly but quite frankly the pvp since the rework in Stormblood is shallow as a puddle. Due to your kit being so limited you have very little options in how you approach a fight and most of the time it boils down to "mark target and zerg it".Honestly I think they should scrap the whole thing and either do a complete rethink on it and re release, or allocate those resources to other parts of the game. I am against this idea for two reasons:
1. Go that long thread "$35, really SE?". People wants the mount to be obtainable in game in which this is the case. Now you want this to be on cash shop?
2. The achievement is the only last thing to keep this dying Feast mode alive. Just play it and earn it.

1. It's (was) obtainable in game I just want to straight out but since it's no longer obtainable we should be able to purchase it with money.I am against this idea for two reasons:

2. PVP Sucks. The achievement and titles can stay though, I just want to buy the mount that's no longer obtainable in any way.

You need to understand the difference between PvE and PvP. Did you ever play a PvP mode, did you ever play a competitive mode before?
You earn something the moment a season is running, not years after it's over. PvP never drops in difficulty, because you play against actual players and not mobs. It is a totally different concept.
Why do you try to compare the ability to unsync PvE content nowadays, with PvP? You can't unsync PvP and never will and it was way harder in the past to achieve top100. There was no dc split, more competition because the rewards were better and the battlesystem was harder; you take away that achievement from players because you want to keep playing your casual playstyle and be spoonfed with rewards?!
People could bot in frontlines, you cant bot yourself to top100. Wolfmarks are not a good resource to trash out feast rewards. Even wolfcollars would mean that a person who keeps ranking as bronze, which everybody can get in a few hours even if you are the worst player in this game, would get the most rare and one of the hardest mounts in this game.
You know what also would happen, because everyone will have the mount, nobody cares anymore about those mounts - they gonna become boring and common.
The only way it would be fair to PvP ranked players would maybe be that you are able to use the top100 voucher you get by GM to exchange any top100 reward of that expansion. But after that it is over.
PvP community also wants them since years to add more interesting stuff as wolf collar rewards to give more incentive to players and reason to play even if they dont make top100, they would still get rare items by doing that. Maybe give out different wolf collars per addon so you can get a "basic/not as special" version of one of the actual top100 reward in that season by getting collars.
If they give out those s1-s4 rewards they can give legacy tattoo and legacy chocobos too lol.
